After the Tang Dynasty allied with Silla to destroy Baekje and Koguryo,the two sides were in constant conflict for the control of the former areas of Baekje and Koguryo.In 670,the Tang-Silla War broke out,which changed the relationship between the two countries from alliance to hostility.By the end of the war in 676,the Tang Dynasty gradually withdrew from the Korean peninsula,and Silla appeared in the historical stage of northeast Asia as a "unified country".The Tang dynasty and Silla gradually resumed communication according to the changes of the domestic political situation.This not only helps Silla learn from the cultural relics system of Tang Dynasty,but also enhances its national strength.Moreover,it also maintained the international order in northeast Asia with the Tang Dynasty as the center,contributing to the peace and stability of northeast Asia.This paper takes the historical event of the Tang-Silla War as the entry point and the Tang-Silla relationship as the research object to discuss the causes of the outbreak of the Tang-Silla War,the evolution and influence of the Tang-Silla relationship during and after the war.This paper is mainly composed of three parts and five chapters,which are introduction,thesis and conclusion respectively.The first chapter is introduction.This paper mainly expounds the purpose and significance of the topic selection,research trends of domestic and foreign academic circles,research methods and innovation points.The second chapter mainly discusses the background of the outbreak of the Tang-Silla War.First,this paper expounds the beginning and end of silla’s alliance with Tang Dynasty according to the changes of the situation on the Korean peninsula.Secondly,after the fall of Baekje,Tang-Silla had a dispute for the former ruling power of Baekje,resulting in the loosening of the alliance.Finally,the Tang Dynasty set up an Antondo Palace in the old land of Koguryo,further intensifying the conflict between the two sides.The third chapter mainly expounds the relations between the two countries during the war of Tang-Silla.First of all,this paper discusses that Silla initiated the war due to the deterioration of the situation in the western regions of the Tang Dynasty.Second,explain the course of the war.Facing the unfavorable situation in the battlefield of Silla,king Wenwu sent envoys to make peace,focusing on the reasons why the Tang Dynasty accepted Silla’s envoys.Finally,describe the outcome of the war.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the relationship between the two countries and its influence after the war.Firstly,it expounds the internal political situation of Silla and the implementation of its pro-tang policy,so as to ease the relationship between the two countries.Secondly,it expounds the internal political situation during the reign of emperor Xuanzong and the implementation of the policy of opening to the outside world,so as to promote the resumption of friendly exchanges between the two sides.Finally,the paper discusses the influence of the change of post-war relations on the two countries.The fifth chapter is conclusion.This chapter is divided into two parts.The first part mainly gives a brief overview of the bilateral relations before and after the Tang-Silla War.The second part draws the conclusion that the change of internal political situation is the key factor affecting the evolution of bilateral relations.
