| In English reading class,effective reading is an important way to acquire English language knowledge,it is very important to adopt more effective teaching methods to arouse students’ enthusiasm and improve their English reading ability.Therefore,this study proves that this learning method has a good effect on English reading class in higher vocational college through the action study of cooperative learning in English reading class.The research object of this action is 41 students from the second-grade rehabilitation class of a vocational school in Wu Lan Cha Bu,Inner Mongolia.Prior to the action research,in order to understand the learning situation of the learners,a preliminary survey was conducted in the form of interviews and questionnaires.Before action research,learners have low interest in English reading class and lack initiative and enthusiasm in learning.In the first action research,learners adopted the method of block splicing to produce a good effect in the English reading class,and the learners’ interest changed and actively participated in the class.In the second action study,learners adopted the combination of block splicing method and co-learning method,and the change of learning method promoted the improvement of learners’English reading ability.Through this research,it is shown that cooperative learning has produced a good effect and a positive influence in English reading class in higher vocational colleges.First of all,the change of teaching method increases learners’ interest in learning in the classroom.Secondly,learners no longer play a passive role in the classroom,but actively participate in the classroom to give full play to their own subjectivity. |
