| In recent years, by booming China Vocational Education and increasing number of the vocational students, the English Teaching in Higher Vocational Education faces the most serious challenges due to the traditional spoon-feeding teaching method can't meet the requirement of the times. Cooperative learning,as a new teaching theory and model,is widely applied by many countries in the world. Cooperative learning can improve the class teaching atmosphere. Students can raise their English level and promote their non-cognitive ability through cooperative learning. Moreover, Cooperative learning can enhance their social interaction consciousness and social role norms, foster cooperation awareness responsibility and good teamwork spirit, and acquire social experience for the students. So Cooperative learning is widely used in many countries in the world. It fits the Higher Vocational Education's powerful practice, also make up for the traditional teaching disadvantage what is worth of spreading and pushing in Higher Vocational Education in China.This article focuses on Cooperative learning in Higher Vocational Education, which is begin with the meaning of cooperative learning and the significance of this research. First, I describe the course of development of cooperative learning and its theoretical framework. Then I represent the current situation of higher vocational education in china and problems in English teaching. Cooperative learning is badly needed in china. Later, I give a case study of the application of cooperative learning, which is directed by me. Details of procedures and methods are given in the case. After the experiment is over,I obtain some actual effects of cooperative learning. Those effects show that cooperative learning in higher vocational English teaching is effective and feasible. Based on the experimental data, I finally obtain some experiences and conclusions of implementing Cooperative learning in English teaching. |
