A Study Of The Interactive Perspective Of The Modal Words "Ba"(吧),"Ma"(嘛) And "Ne"(呢)

As an important means of expressing mood in Chinese,modal words can express the speaker’s emotion,intention,attitude and evaluation.In discourse communication,the speaker often conveys his/her knowledge,tone,attitude,intention and emotion to the hearer with the help of some modal words in addition to the objective statement,so as to achieve communicative purpose or get better communicative effect.In the long run,the semantic meaning and function of some modal words will be developed and derived in the interactive communication,and the static dictionary interpretation may not be able to explain their meaning and function well.Therefore,we need to restore modal words to the original context and analyze the factors related to discourse communication in order to further understand their meaning and function.Based on the modern Chinese modal particles”ba"(吧)"ma"(嘛)"ne"(呢)as the research object,firstly back to comb each modal particle trajectory,combining the current research results to sort out the basic semantic and the main function of the word,and then through the establishment of communication "on-linealignment" in-depth analysis of the word meaning and function in the interactive communication,finally summarized modal particles in the interactive communication semantics and function of the catalyst.The thesis is divided into six chapters:The first chapter:introduction.This paper introduces the origin of the topic,the research status,the research object,the research idea and the research corpus.The second chapter:the interactive communication investigation of the modal word"ba"(吧).This chapter firstly sorts out the origin and origin of the modal word"ba"(吧),then summarizes the conventional semantics of "ba",and finally summarizes the three main functions of "ba"(吧)in interactive communication:weakening strong attitude,revealing non-firm emotion,and promoting verbal communication.The third chapter:an investigation of the interactive communication of "ma"(嘛).This chapter firstly sorts out the origin and origin of the modal word "maa",then summarizes the conventional semantics of "ma"(嘛),and finally summarizes the three main functions of "ma"(嘛)in interactive communication:expressing the speaker’s emotion,marking the relationship between the two parties,and promoting verbal communication.The fourth chapter:the interactive communication of the modal word "ne"(呢).This chapter firstly sorts out the origin and origin of the modal words "nel"(呢1)and"ne2"(呢 2),then summarizes the conventional semantics of "ne2"(呢 2),and finally summarizes the three main functions of "ne2"(呢 2)in interactive communication:highlighting information,drawing attention,marking the speaker’s emotion,and promoting discourse communication.The fifth chapter:the motivation of semantic and functional derivation of modal words in interactive communication.In this chapter,by comparing the commonness of semantic and functional derivation of modal words in interactive communication,the derivation causes are summarized as follows:semantic retention,contextual interaction,cognitive activation and pragmatic solidification.The sixth chapter:conclusion.This chapter summarizes the main points of the paper and gives some thoughts on the future research trends.
