The Distribution Characteristics And Functions Of "La" And "Na"

Based on the theoretical background of Interactive Linguistics.By investigating the categorized corpus,this paper systematically and comprehensively describes the distribution characteristics and functions of"Le₂"（specifically referring to the end of the sentence"Le"）,"Ne" and Combined modal particle"La" ,"Na" in the style and sentence category,and analyses the reasons for the differences.Analyzing the difference of writing type and sentence type between"Le₂" ,"Ne" and Combined modal particle"La" ,"Na" by investigating the classified corpuswe analyses the distribution characteristics and functions of"Le₂" ,"Ne" and "La" ,"Na" comprehensively and systematically,and we also explores the causes of the differences in the distribution of"Le₂" ,"Ne" and "La" ,"Na" .We divide the corpus into five categories:written style（including political comment style,narrative style）and spoken style（including news interview style,film and television style,daily conversation style）.Among all the corpus,we also pay special attention to distinguishing"interactive communicative corpus"from"non-interactive communicative corpus".From the perspective of sentence category selection,the tone color of"La" ,"Na" is stronger and more communicative than that of"Le₂" ,"Ne" ,"Na" is the result of"Ne" +"A" ="Na" ,Most of the"Ne"here means"affirming facts" at the end of a declarative sentence,while a few are"Ne"at the end of the special question which means"researching and reminding"."La" and "Na" have formed an independent tone meaning which is different from"Le₂" and "Ne" .From the perspective of specific pragmatic functions,whether from the perspective of cooperative principle and politeness principle,or from the perspective of emotion and cognition,compared with"Le₂" and "Ne" ,modal particles"La" and "Na" have obvious functions of enlarging mood,which are more convenient to convey the speaker’s various rich emotions."Le₂" and "La","Ne" and "Na" show a high similarity in the co-occurrence of modal adverbs.But the communication color of"Le₂" and "Ne" is more prominent than"La" and "Na" .In view of the great differences in the distribution of style and sentence types between"Le₂" and "La" ,"Ne" and "Na" ,We think we can discuss the causes from these aspects.First of all,the modal particle"A" has the function of mood amplifier.Secondly,the choice trend of modal particles is inseparable from the characteristics of each genre.In addition,the pragmatic function of the sentence class itself will also affect its choice of modal particles.
