| With the development of pragmatics,the study of pragmatic transfer has also been growing rapidly,especially the study on the theory of pragmatic transfer combined with language teaching.More and more attention has been paid to the research of pragmatic transfer combined with ESL writing.However,the researches are mostly focused on the aspect of negative pragmatic transfer and lack empirical data.The purpose of this research is to find a better way to improve the writing ability of junior high school students.This research elaborates on the perspective of the combination of positive pragmatic transfer with the teaching of corresponding writing skills in the second language writing and then proposes some pedagogical implications according to the data analysis.Based on the theory of language transfer and teaching strategies of second language writing,the writer intends to test the effectiveness of the positive pragmatic transfer used in English writing by varieties of examples,experimental approach,statistical analysis and comparative analysis.The purpose of this study is to testify the importance of positive pragmatic transfer in English writing.The results of the experiment show that the use of positive pragmatic transfer combined with the teaching of strategies of second language writing can help students to improve their English writing skills.Through the analyses,the writer finds that the positive pragmatic transfer can help to reduce students’fear toward second language writing,for which students can have a better understanding and mastering of the target language.This research is helpful to the further study of the theory link between language transfer and second language writing,and it also contributes to the teaching of English writing in middle schools. |
