Hovenia acerba Lindl.(Rhamanaceae),is widely distributed in China.Their dried and mature seeds, which has three spices and three varirties in the world.According to a large number of studies on the chemical constituents,Hovenia seamen are rich in flavonoids, terpenes as well as various fatty acids. In addition, the modern pharmacological activities showed that the extracts of it had pharmacological effects of relieving alcohol, protecting liver, treating various liver diseases, treating dyslipidemia and resisting lipid peroxidation.Firstly,we made a systematic study on the chemical constituent about the seeds of Hovenia acerba Lindl..modern separation methods(silica gel column chromatography,RP-18 column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and preparative HPLC)were used to separate various parts of the seeds of Hovenia acerba Lindl..Finally,22 constituents were obtained.Through the analysis and identification of NMR and mass spectrum data, they were identified as: Apigenin(1),Myricetin(2),Quercetin(3),(2R,3R)-Dihydromyricetin(4),(2R,3R)-Hovenitin Ⅰ(5a),(2R,3R)-Dihydroquercetin(5b),(2R,3R)-Dihydrosyringetin(6a),(2R,3R)-Dihydrokaempferol(6b),(2R,3S)-Dihydroquercetin(7a),(2R,3S)-Hovenitin Ⅱ(7b),Ceanothic acid(8),Alphitolic acid(9),3-Epi-alphitolic acid(10),β-Sitosterol(11),Daucosterol(12),Gallic acid(13),Protocatechuic acid(14),p-Hydroxybenzoic acid(15),Oleic acid(16),(1R,2S,3R,4S)-Dimethyl-3,4-diphenylcyclobutane-1,2-dicarboxylate(17),Di-n-butyl phthalate(18),Uridine(19).Among them, compound 7a,10,17 and 19 were isolated from the genus Hovenia Thunb.for the first time. Then,DPPH scavenging activity and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of these compounds were tested respectively. It was found that compound 2,4,5,7,13 and 14 had DPPH scavenging activity; And compound 1~9 were found to have α-glucosidase inhibitory activity.Among them, compound 2,4,5 and 7 have both antioxidant activity andα-glucosidase inhibition activity. The research results on the chemical components and biological activities of the seeds of Hovenia acerba Lindl.has laid a foundation for the research on the medicinal value of natural drugs and their application and development in China. |
