Research On The Measurement,regional Differences And Influencing Factors Of China’s Health Industry Development

With the development of social economy,people’s attention to health has gradually increased,and the level of pursuit of health has been continuously upgraded.The health industry has ushered in a good opportunity for development.China’s health industry started late,the scale of the industry is far from that of developed countries,and there are problems such as unclear policy orientation and large differences in regional development levels.In addition,the academic research on the health industry mostly uses qualitative research,and the research on the influencing factors of the health industry is mostly about the sub-industries of the health industry,and there is a lack of comprehensive research on the development of the health industry.This article quantitatively analyzes the development level of the health industry and its influencing factors from the overall level,so as to better grasp the development status of the health industry and provide data support for the formulation of related policies.Based on the definition and scope of the health industry defined by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics,this article selects 17 indicators to construct an indicator system from five dimensions: medical service level,health insurance development level,pharmaceutical manufacturing development level,elderly care service level,and health tourism service level.Use the principal component analysis method to determine the index weight,comprehensively measure the development of the health industry at the national level in from 2005 to 2019 and at provincial levels from 2014 to 2019,and conduct dynamic analysis.Secondly,using the cluster analysis method to conduct research and analyze the regional characteristics of the development of China’s provincial health industry in 2019,and discuss the regional differences in the development of China’s health industry.Finally,based on PEST analysis,this article selects six influencing factors from four aspects of policy,economy,society and technology,and establishes a panel regression model on the provincial panel data from2014 to 2019 to conduct quantitative research on the factors affecting the development of the health industry from the national and regional levels to analyze the impact of different factors on the health industry.The research results show that: China’s health industry is developing rapidly,and the level of development is constantly improving.In recent years,the growth rate of the health industry has declined,and it is in a critical period of transition to "high-quality" development.There are obvious regional differences in the development of health industry.The development level of the eastern region is higher than that of the central and western regions but the growth rate of the eastern region is much lower than that of the central and western regions.The development of the health industry in the northeast region continues to be sluggish.Economic level,aging level,and education level have a positive impact on the development of China’s health industry.Among them,aging level has the greatest impact.The process of urbanization has reduced the level of equalization of medical and health services,which has a restraining effect on the development of the health industry.Based on the results of empirical research,this article puts forward the following suggestions.First of all,we should focus on the quality of the development of the health industry and realize the transition from high-speed to high-quality development.Second,focus on reducing the regional differences in the development of the health industry,and promote common prosperity with the development of the health industry.Finally,the development of the health industry should revolve around the main theme of "people-oriented",so as to ensure that the development results benefit every individual.
