| Objective:The aim of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy of self-made Jiegu-gao external application in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,so as to further explore and understand the pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis and the mechanism of Jiegugao in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Method:This study investigated 80 patients with unilateral knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages.The selected patients were all orthopaedic outpatients from Laiwu City Chi-nese Medicine Hospital from February 2017 to February 2018.All cases were in accordance with the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages.They were randomly divided into two groups according to the order of treatment and random number table,that is,according to the order of patient visit,the corresponding random number is even-numbered.Group,the odd number is divided into the treatment group.Forty patients in the treatment group(external adhesive jiegugao group)and 40 patients in the control group(external injury and pain relief plaster group).The age of both groups were tested by t test,and the gender was tested by x~2.The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The course of disease in both groups was 1-24 months,the treatment group averaged(12±5.64)months,and the control group was roughly(12±5.31)months.There was no significant statistical difference between the two general data(P>0.05).Therefore,the gender and age of the two groups of patients have little difference and are comparable.All medications and other treatments that may affect the efficacy of this treatment are discontinued during treatment.Both groups were treated for two weeks.The clinical efficacy,pain visual analogue(VAS)score and WOMAC osteoarthritis index score were compared between the two groups.The experimental data was collected and organized in time,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 19.0 statistical software.Before and after treatment,the VAS score and WOMAC score were compared and analyzed.The statistical description was expressed as mean±standard deviation(x~_±s).When P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.When P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Result:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.0%,the cure rate was 47.5%,the total effective rate of the control group was 92.5%,and the cure rate was 37.5%.There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the rate(P<0.05),and the treatment group was higher than the control group.The VAS and WOMAC scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those of the two groups before and after treatment.There were significant differences between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).After 1 week,the VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After two weeks of treatment,the VAS and WOMAC scores were lower in the treatment group than in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Externally attached jiegugao can significantly alleviate the pain of knee joint osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages,improve knee joint function,and has better curative effect than injury and pain relief plaster.It has the advantages of convenient use,exact curative effect,safety and reliability,etc.It is worthy of popularization and appli-cation. |
