| Objectives To explore the distribution characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution and TCM syndrome of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)and their correlation with prognostic factors,so as to provide new ideas and objective basis for the individualized prevention and treatment of PDR patients. Methods A total of 218 patients with PDR who were hospitalized in the Department of diabetic ophthalmology of Hebei Eye Hospital from September 2020 to January 2021 were selected. The constitution was obtained by one-to-one questionnaire survey with Wang Qi’s TCM Constitution questionnaire. The general data,TCM syndrome differentiation, glycosylated hemoglobin,DR stage, whether complicated with hypertension and the course of DM were collected;SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for data analysis, and the frequency(constituent ratio)of counting data was described.Chi square test was used for the distribution relationship between PDR influencing factors and TCM Constitution and TCM syndrome, with P<0.05 as significant difference;disordered multi classification logistic regression analysis was used for influencing factors of TCM syndrome, with P<0.05 as significant difference. Results 1 Of 218 patients with PDR,99 were male and 119 were female;the age distribution was mainly 45~59 years old;the patients with BMI in the range of 24.0~27.9kg/m~2 were more, the patients with DM course less than 10 years were more;the patients with glycosylated hemoglobin were mainly 6.6%~8.1%;the number of patients without hypertension was more, more patients with PDR stage VI.2 TCM Constitution distribution of 218 patients with PDR:46 cases with mild constitution,16 cases with Qi deficiency,16cases with Qi depression,11 cases with damp heat,17 cases with phlegm dampness,2cases with special constitution,13 cases with blood stasis,51 cases with Yang deficiency,46 cases with Yin deficiency,172 cases with partial constitution,124 cases with single constitution and 94 cases with mixed constitution.3 The TCM syndrome differentiation distribution of 218 cases of PDR:64 cases of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome,50 cases of liver and kidney deficiency syndrome,104 cases of Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome.4There were significant differences in the distribution of TCM syndrome among PDR patients with different constitutions(P<0.05).Qi deficiency syndrome, phlegm dampness syndrome and blood stasis syndrome were mainly Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, while peace syndrome,Qi stagnation syndrome and Yang deficiency syndrome were mainly Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome, while Yin deficiency syndrome was mainly liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome.5 The constitution of patients with PDR had significant difference in the distribution of PDR stages(P<0.05),in which the distribution of patients withbiased constitution was mainly in stage VI;the distribution of patients with mixed constitution was mainly in stage VI.The patients with Yin deficiency and Yang deficiency were mainly in stage VI.6 There was significant difference in the distribution of TCM syndrome in PDR stages(P<0.05).The distribution of Qi Yin deficiency syndrome was mainly in stage IV and V,liver and kidney deficiency syndrome was mainly in stage V and VI,and Yin and yang deficiency syndrome was mainly in stage VI.7 The results showed that there were significant differences in the distribution of constitution between gender and BMI(P<0.05).The male patients were mainly Yin deficiency while the female patients were mainly Yang deficiency;the patients with BMI≤18.4 kg/m~2 were mainly Yang deficiency;the patients with BMI between 18.5 and 23.9 kg/m~2were mainly mild,The patients with BMI over 24.0 kg/m~2were mainly Yin deficiency.8 In the distribution comparison of TCM syndrome and influencing factors of PDR patients, the results showed that there were significant differences in the course of diabetes and hypertension(P<0.05).Among them, the duration of diabetes in patients with Qi Yin deficiency syndrome and Yin Yang deficiency syndrome is more than 10 years, and the duration of diabetes in patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome is less than 10 years;patients with Qi Yin deficiency syndrome and Yin Yang deficiency syndrome are mainly not complicated with hypertension, while patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome are mostly complicated with hypertension.9 The logistic regression analysis of TCM syndrome and influencing factors shows that the deficiency of Qi and Yin is negatively correlated with age, that is,compared with the deficiency of liver and kidney, the older the patient is,the more likely the deficiency of liver and kidney occurs; The deficiency of both qi and Yin is positively correlated with the course of diabetes and DR stage, which indicates that compared with the deficiency of liver and kidney, the longer the course of diabetes, the lighter the DR condition is,the patients with deficiency of both Qi and Yin are prone to occur.Compared with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, the older the age,the longer the course of diabetes, and the patients without hypertension are more likely to have Yin and yang deficiency syndrome;Yin Yang deficiency syndrome is negatively correlated with BMI and single constitution, that is,compared with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, patients with smaller BMI and mixed constitution are more likely to have Yin Yang deficiency syndrome. Conclusions 1 The constitution distribution of PDR patients is mainly biased constitution, mainly Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency;TCM syndrome are mainly Yin Yang deficiency.2 There are significant differences in TCM syndrome of PDR patients with different constitutions.Qi deficiency syndrome,3 There are significant differences in the distribution of TCM Constitution, syndrome and DR stages of PDR patients.4 Comparing the distribution of nine TCM constitutions of PDR patients with the influencing factors of PDR,the results show that there are significant differences in the distribution of constitutions of gender and BMI.5 In the distribution comparison of TCM syndrome and influencing factors of PDR,the results show that there are significant differences in the course of diabetes and hypertension.6 In the logistic regression analysis of TCM syndrome and influencing factors, the deficiency of liver and kidney is taken as the reference category, and the deficiency of both Qi and Yin is negatively correlated with age and age;It is positively correlated with the course of diabetes and DR stage; The deficiency of Yin and Yang is positively correlated with age, course of diabetes and hypertension, and negatively correlated with BMI and single constitution.Figure 0;Table 23;Reference 109...
