Objective: To investigate the incidence and risk factors of extraintestinal manifestations(EIMs)in children with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).To provide bases for assessing the risk of extraintestinal manifestations in children with IBD.Method: The clinical data of 102 children with IBD was collected from the electronic medical records in the Department of Pediatrics,Shengjing Hospital,China Medical University from January 2010 to December 2020.These patients were divided into nonVEO-IBD group and VEO-IBD group according to age at diagnosis, and non-VEOIBD group were divided into ulcerative colitis(UC)group and Crohn’s disease(CD)group according to the diagnosis. The demographic, disease characteristics and incidence of EIMs in each group was analyzed.Logistic regression was used to analyze whether the clinical characteristics including gender, age at diagnosis, perianal lesions, diagnosis, lesion site at diagnosis, disease activity at diagnosis, white blood cells, hemoglobin, blood platelet, albumin, erythrocytic sedimentation rate and CRP were associated with the occurrence of extraintestinal manifestations. Results: 45 patients(44.1%)had EIMs.Aphthous ulcer(20.5%,21 cases)was the most common EIM,followed by skin lesion(19.6%,20 cases)and joint lesion(9.8%,10cases).By logistic regression analysis,CD(OR=2.853,95%Cl:1.058~7.693),severe disease activity(PUCAI,PCDAI)(OR=6.000,95%Cl:1.928~18.677)and blood sedimentation≥20mm/h(OR=3.672,95%Cl:1.400~9.632)were the risk factors of EIMs.Conclusions: The incidence of extraintestinal manifestations in children with IBD in our center is 44.1%.Aphthous ulcer was the most common IBD.The risk factors of developing EIMs include CD,severe disease activity and blood sedimentation≥20mm/h.
