| Xylopia vielana Pierre is one kind of the trees belonging to the genus Xylopia of the family Annonaceae,which is distributed in mountain forests of tropical and subtropical areas.In China,X.vielana is the only one species growing in southern Guangxi Province.The chemical compositions in Annonaceae have many t ypes and good functions,including terpenoids and their polymers,flavonoids and their polymers,alkaloids and their polymers,and some flavonoid alkaloids or sesquiterpene heteropolymers,s ome of which showed anti-inflammatory,antimalarial,antibacterial and anti-tumor effects.In order to further study the chemicals in X.vielana,33 compounds were isolated and identified from the methanol extract of the leaves and branches of X.vielana by various chromatographic and spectral techniques,including fourteen sesquiterpenes dimers(1-8,11-17),nine sesquiterpenes(9-10,18-24),three amides(25-27)and two lignans(28-29),one alkyne(30),one benzene derivatives(35)and four esters(31-34).Among them,compou nds 1-8 are new sesquiterpenoid dimers and compounds 9-10 are new sesquiterpenoids.This paper use the LPS-induced mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 model to research 24 sesquiterpene and their dimers from X.Vielana in vitro for anti-inflammatory activity.Among them,compounds 2-3,5-11,13-15,17,20-22 and24 showed good NO inhibitory activity(IC 50<10)μM/L)。This paper reviewed the research on polymers and their activities from Annonaceae in recent years,in order to provide a reference for the further development and utilization of complex natural products in this family. |
