ObjectThis study investigated the effects of insulin interview kit combined with routine health education on diabetes-related psychological distress in patients with type 2 diabetes.MethodsA total of 74 patients with type 2 diabetes in endocrinology department of a Grade A hospital in Wuhan from January to December 2020 were selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling method.According to the random number table method, the 74 subjects were randomly divided into control group(37 cases)and experimental group(37 cases).Subjects in the two groups completed the general information questionnaire,diabetes-related pain scale and insulin perception scale on the first day of admission, respectively. The control group received routine health education, while the experimental group received combined insulin interview kit for health education on the basis of routine health education.Subjects in the two groups filled in the diabetes-related pain scale and the insulin perception scale again on the seventh day of admission, and the data were collected and statistically analyzed.Results(1)There were no significant differences between the two groups in general data, total score of diabetes-related psychological pain scale and scores of each dimension, total score of insulin perception scale and scores of each dimension(P > 0.05),and the baseline data were comparable.(2)The total score of diabetes-related psychological pain of the study subjects was 51.16,and the scores of each dimension were emotional burden, life regulation-related pain,doctor-related pain, and interpersonal relations-related pain in order. Each of the 17 items scored 3.00(1.72),with item 12(feeling that I am not sticking strictly to a good eating plan)scoring the highest and item 1(feeling that my doctor is poorly informed about diabetes and care)scoring the lowest of the 17.(3)Comparison of diabetes-related psychological pain scores between the two groups before and after intervention showed that the total score of diabetes-related psychological pain in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).(4)The scores of diabetes-related psychological pain before and after intervention in the two groups were lower than those in the control group in emotional burden, life rule related pain and doctor-related pain, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no statistical significance in the score of interpersonal pain dimension(P > 0.05).(5)Comparison of diabetes-related psychological pain scores before and after intervention showed that the total score of diabetes-related psychological pain and scores of all dimensions in the experimental group were lower than before intervention, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).The score of emotional burden and life-related pain in the control group was lower than that before intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no statistical significance in the total score of diabetes-related psychological pain,doctor-related pain dimension and interpersonal-related pain dimension(P > 0.05).(6)The comparison of insulin perception score between the two groups before and after intervention showed that the total score of insulin perception scale between the two groups had statistical significance(P < 0.05).(7)There were statistically significant differences in life management, insulin cognition, insulin attitude and side effects scores between the two groups before and after intervention(P < 0.05).In A1(use insulin can help me get better blood sugar control),A2(use insulin helps to increase my energy),A3(use insulin can reduce health problems),A4(I feel better to use insulin)four entries in the total score and related issues, there was no statistically significant difference cost two dimension score(P > 0.05).(8)Comparison of insulin perception scores before and after intervention showed that there were statistically significant differences in the total score of insulin perception scores, insulin cognition, life management, attitude to insulin,injection-related problems and side effects scores of the experimental group(P <0.05);A1(use insulin can help me get better blood sugar control),A2(use insulin helps to increase my energy),A3(use insulin can reduce health problems),A4(I feel better to use insulin)four entries in the total score, there was no statistically significant difference cost dimension score(P > 0.05).Comparison of insulin perception scores before and after self-intervention.Control group total score, expenses of insulin opinion score is dimension scores and A1(use insulin can help me get better blood sugar control),A2(use insulin helps to increase my energy),A3(use insulin can reduce health problems),A4(I feel better to use insulin)four entries in the total score difference no statistical significance(P > 0.05).There were statistically significant differences in insulin cognition, life management, attitude towards insulin,injection-related problems and side effects(P < 0.05).Conclusions(1)The diabetes-related psychological pain of the subjects was at a severe level, with the highest degree of psychological pain caused by emotional burden and the lowest degree of psychological pain caused by interpersonal relationship.(2)The combination of insulin interview kit and routine education can reduce the overall level of diabetes-related psychological pain, which is better than routine education.(3)For reducing the psychological pain caused by disease diagnosis and treatment and medical staff, insulin interview kit combined with routine health education is better than routine health education; There was no significant difference between the improvement of psychological pain caused by interpersonal relationship and that of conventional health education.(4)The combination of insulin interview kit and routine health education can improve the cognition of diseases and insulin, establish a good doctor-patient relationship with medical personnel, and alleviate psychological pain.Routine health education can improve the cognition of disease and insulin to some extent, but the effect of reducing psychological pain is not obvious.(5)The combination of insulin interview kit and routine education can reduce the cognitive impairment of insulin in diabetic patients on the whole level, which is better than routine education.(6)In terms of improving the attitude, side effects and cognition of insulin use,the combination of insulin interview kit and routine education was superior to routine health education; There was no significant difference in improving the cognition and experience of the cost compared with the conventional health education.(7)The combination of insulin interview kit and routine education can effectively improve the attitude, side effects and cognitive impairment of insulin use,but the improvement in cost perception and experience perception is not obvious.Routine health education is effective in improving insulin attitude, side effects and cognitive impairment.
