Characteristicis And Experience Of Professor Li Ji’s Treatment Of Vertigo (Hypertension) Based On A Data Mining Approach

Objective:To retrospectively study Professor Li Ji’s clinical treatment of vertigo(hypertension)based on a data mining approach.The characteristics of medication,prescription rules,and treatment thoughts of Professor Li Ji’s clinical treatment of vertigo(hypertension)were analyzed and summarized,therefore,to pass on the superior treatment experience of the famous specialists of Traditional Chinese Medicine and guide the clinical prescription and medication.Methods:The medical information and prescriptions of 92 cases with hypertensive vertigo and met the inclusion criteria were collected from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to December 2020,and organized to establish a database.The TCM inheritance platform system(V3.0)modules were used to analyze the frequency,the tropism of taste,meridian,efficacy,and combinations of the medications to explore the characteristics and academic thoughts of professor Li Ji’s medication in the treatment of vertigo(hypertension).Results:The analysis of the 92 clinical prescriptions showed that the ratio of male to female in patients with vertigo(hypertension)was 1:1.88.There were more female patients than males in all syndrome types.The main syndromes types of vertigo(hypertension)were hyperactivity of Liver Yang,deficiency of Qi and Blood,and deficiency of Kidney Essence,accounting for 27.2%,23.9%,and 23.9%of the included cases,respectively.TCM herbs used for vertigo(hypertension)with high frequency were prepared Gan Cao(Radix Gly cy rrhizae),fried Bai Zhu(Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae),Tian Ma(Rhizoma Gastrodiae),Huang Qi(Radix Astragali),Ren Shen(Radix Ginseng),Niu Xi(Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae),and Dang Gui(Radix Angelicae Sinensis),etc.In terms of drug properties,warm drugs were used 306 times.From drug taste,sweet drugs were used 494 times.According to the theory of meridian tropism,drugs returned to the Spleen meridians were used 410 times.In terms of drug effect,the frequency of drugs used for tonifying deficiency were the highest,and were 260 times.The top three most frequent drug pairs were fried Bai Zhu and Tian Ma,fried Bai Zhu and prepared Gan Cao,and prepared Gan Cao and Tian Ma.To be more specific,the most used drug pairs for Liver Yang hyperactivity syndrome were Tian Ma and fried Bai Zhu,Tian Ma and HuaiNiuXi,and Tian Ma and prepared Gan Cao.Drug pairs frequently used for Qi and Blood deficiency syndrome were Huang Qi and Ren Shen,Ren Shen and Dang Gui,and Huang Qi and Dang Gui.For deficiency of Kidney Essence syndrome,fired Bai Zhu and Sheng Long Gu(Ossa Draconis),etc.were the most classical pairs.Conclusion:1.Professor Li Ji thinks that the main pathogenesis of vertigo(hypertension)is not rising of clearing Yang.Lifting clearing Yang is the fundamental method to treat the disease.Astragalus is the important medicine for rising of clearing Yang.2.Professor Li Ji used warm and sweet drugs to treat vertigo(hypertension).The drugs were mainly used in the spleen meridian.Commonly used drugs are Astragalus,ginseng,Atractylodes macrocephala,fried licorice,angelica,semen Ziziphi Spinosae,semen persicae,Gastrodia elata,Achyranthes bidentata,Ligusticum chuanxiong,etc.3.Professor Li Ji’s commonly used medicine in the treatment of vertigo reflects the syndrome differentiation and treatment of vertigo.4.Professor Li Ji’s treatment of vertigo is mainly based on the principle of "invigorating the spleen and promoting the clear,invigorating qi and nourishing blood,calming the liver and strengthening the kidney".
