Research purposesIn recent years, physical activity as an auxiliary treatment of drug withdrawal has been favored. At present, most studies have confirmed that methamphetamine addicts have cognitive impairment.Impulsivity,as an important part of cognitive function, plays a key role in the process of addiction, but there is no conclusion about whether sports can improve the impulsivity of methamphetamine addicts. In order to explore the influence of sports activities on the impulsivity of methamphetamine addicts, this study will explore the following three issues: I.impulsive characteristics of methamphetamine addicts, impulsive decision-making and whether impulsive behavior is abnormal compared with normal people.Ⅱ.whether physical activity intervention can improve the impulsive characteristics, impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior of methamphetamine addicts.Ⅲ.whether there are differences in the effects of large and medium exercise on impulsive characteristics, impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior of methamphetamine addicts.Research methodIn Experiment 1,89 methamphetamine addicts from a drug rehabilitation center in Fuzhou were selected as the subjects, all of them were male, right handed,18-45 years old,met the dsm-Ⅳ methamphetamine dependence diagnosis standard, and had completed physiological detoxification, and excluded other drugs sharing dependence(such as heroin, marijuana, etc.);the control group was 45 normal people, gender, age and other factors matched the experimental group, without any adverse effects Addiction history. The differences of impulsive characteristics, impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior between methamphetamine addicts and normal people were compared by BIS-11,IGT and Stroop tasks. In Experiment 2,the methamphetamine addicted group was randomly divided into three groups. The experimental group was divided into two groups according to the different intensity, time and frequency of exercise: the large exercise group(19,PARS-3score ≥ 43)and the medium exercise group(26,PARS-3 score 20-42).The control group(28 people)only completed the daily activity without additional exercise. There was no significant difference in age, drug use amount, drug use times and drug use years among the three groups. After 12 weeks of exercise intervention, the differences in impulsive characteristics, impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior between the exercise group(large exercise group, medium exercise group)and the control group were compared respectively by BIS-11,IGT and Stroop tasks, and the difference in the intervention effect between the large exercise group and the medium exercise group was further compared.Research resultThe results of Experiment 1 showed that:(1)the total score, unplanned impulse and cognitive impulse of addiction group were significantly higher than those of control group.(2)The impulsive decision-making performance of the addicted group did not change with the process of the decision-making module in the IGT test, and the impulsive decision-making performance of the control group improved significantly with the process of the decision-making module in the IGT test.(3)The correct rate of Stroop inconsistent color words test in addiction group was significantly lower than that in control group, and there was no significant difference in response time compared with the control group. The results of Experiment 2 showed that(1)after the intervention of physical activity, there was no statistical difference in the total score of BIS-11 and all dimensions between the intervention group and the control group, indicating that physical activity had no significant effect on the impulsive characteristics of methamphetamine addicts.(2)Through the intervention of sports activities, the impulsive decision-making performance of methamphetamine addicts was improved in IGT test, and the improvement effect of large amount of exercise on impulsive decision-making was better than that of medium amount of exercise.(3)After the intervention of sports activities, the response time of methamphetamine addicts in inconsistent stimulation of Stroop decreased, and the accuracy increased. The response time of methamphetamine addicts was significantly lower than that of moderate exercise group, and the correct rate was significantly higher than that of moderate exercise group.Analysis conclusion1.compared with the general healthy population, methamphetamine addicts have abnormal impulsive characteristics, impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior.2.physical activity can improve the abnormal impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior of methamphetamine addicts, but can not affect the impulsive characteristics of methamphetamine addicts.3.different amount of exercise has different effects on impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior of methamphetamine addicts. The effect of large amount of exercise on impulsive decision-making and impulsive behavior of methamphetamine addicts is better than that of medium amount of exercise.
