Methamphetamine, also known as ice,is named after its shape resembles rock sugar. It is a psychoactive substance that can cause addictive behaviors. As a new type of drug, methamphetamine not only has the characteristics of long withdrawal cycle and high relapse rate, but also cause serious mental illnesses and irreversible damage to the brain. At present, methamphetamine has widely appeared in most areas of China, but there are relatively few studies on individuals who are addicted to methamphetamine in China, especially on their cognitive behavior and neurological characteristics. The dual-choice oddball paradigm improved by Yuan jiajin can quantitatively evaluate the brain bias processing mechanism of methamphetamine addicted individuals under different degrees of addiction cues. This paradigm has three different types of stimuli, which can be divided into highly deviated stimuli, moderate deviated stimuli and standard stimuli according to the situation of the subjects. The ratio of the three types of stimuli is usually 70% : 15% : 15%.Among them, subjects may experience a greater degree of deviation processing when facing high deviation stimuli and standard stimuli, while the moderately deviated stimuli may interfere with the subjects’ normal cognition. In this experiment, the highly deviated stimulus is the true methamphetamine picture, and the moderately deviated stimulus is similar to but not the real methamphetamine picture, and the standard stimulus is the basketball picture. In this study, the differences of subjects’ responses to different stimuli are described as the deviation processing mechanism of the brain. At the same time, this study selected two groups of subjects, one of which was methamphetamine-addicted individuals, and the other group was healthy individuals,to comprehensively analyze the brain’s working mechanism of the two types of subjects when they faced different levels of stimuli. In addition, the reasons for the differences in cognition between the two groups of people and the impact of methamphetamine on the human brain will also be analyzed. In this study, the EEG(Electroencephalography,EEG)signals of two types of subjects were mainly studied in three aspects, including time-frequency domain analysis, functional connection analysis and classification of EEG signals.Among them,time-frequency domain analysis mainly studied the time-domain characteristics,frequency-domain characteristics and time-frequency distribution of EEG signals. The analysis results found that the addicted group performed more thinking decision-making,episodic memory and selective attention functions when faced with stimulating tasks, while the healthy group mainly performed working memory, selective attention and learning functions.Among them, the attention of the addicted group was more focused on the ability to distinguish things, while the healthy group was mainly focused on the visual attention to the stimulus pictures. In addition, compared with the addiction group, the healthy group can better recognize the three types of stimuli.Functional connectivity analysis mainly analyzed the transmission direction of information flow of the two groups of subjects under different stimuli. The analysis results found that the thinking and decision-making ability of the addicted group was different from that of the healthy group.Combined with the time-frequency domain analysis results,we believed that the addicted group will deploy more cognitive resources to judge things when performing cognitive tasks to reach the cognitive level of normal individuals. Finally,we combined the differences in the time-frequency domain and functional connection between the two groups of subjects, and extracted the corresponding features for classification. The final classification accuracy rate was 84.38%.The classification results found: The classification effect is the highest under S2 stimulation task, and the electrodes with better classification effect are mainly concentrated in the frontal region. This result proves that the two groups of people have differences in thinking,decision-making,attention to judgment, etc.,which are basically consistent with the above results. This study analyzes the differences between methamphetamine-addicted individuals and healthy individuals, deeply understands the cognitive impact of methamphetamine on the human brain, and explores the differences in brain processing mechanisms between addicted individuals and healthy individuals for classification. In addition, this article also helps people deeply analyze the impact of methamphetamine on the brain and nervous system, provides a new technical means for the detection of methamphetamine.
