Research On Ethical Issues In Diagnosis And Treatment Of Advanced Cancer

With the changes in the disease spectrum,cancer has become a disease with high morbidity and mortality,the main cause of human death,and an important public health issue.The onset of cancer is insidious,and early screening is difficult.When the patient has obvious symptoms of discomfort,it is usually at an advanced stage.Advanced cancer is easy to metastasize,the treatment effect is not significant,and the diagnosis and treatment expenditure is large,which brings huge pain and financial pressure to patients and their families.In the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer,patients,their families and medical staff are often troubled by issues such as the patient’s knowledge of the diagnosis information and the knowledge of their family members,whether the treatment plan is the patient’s consent or the family’s consent,and over-medical treatment.In the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer,the diagnosis and treatment model that emphasizes treatment over care ignores the greater pain that continuous treatment may bring to patients,increases the burden on society and families,and even wastes medical and health resources.To this end,this study explores the disregard of informed consent and over-medical treatment of patients in advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment,and analyzes the causes and influencing factors of these ethical dilemmas from the perspective of relevant theories and principles,and explores solutions to the problems.The establishment of relevant systems in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer provides a useful reference.From the perspective of humanistic care and bioethics,this study sorts out,reviews,and analyzes typical cases of advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment,enumerates the dilemmas and misunderstandings faced by advanced cancer patients,family members and medical staff in diagnosis and treatment,and puts forward the ethical issues in advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment.-Disrespect the patient’s right of informed consent and excessive medical treatment.Reuse the related theories(life and humanitarianism)and related principles(respect principle,justice principle,advantage principle,non-harm principle)involved in the research to analyze the ethical issues of disrespect for patients’ informed consent and excessive medical treatment in advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment.Discuss that improving the quality of life is the ultimate pursuit of medical development.At the same time,through the analysis of the diagnosis and treatment attitudes and treatment choices of patients,family members,and medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer,the impact of different diagnosis and treatment concepts on the disrespect of patients’ informed consent and excessive medical treatment is clarified.Through the literature research method,the ethical issues of the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer are discussed,and the relevant theories and principles are used to analyze the ethical issues of the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer.Finally,from the three aspects of system guarantee,life education and appropriate medical treatment,countermeasures and suggestions to solve the ethical problems in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer are put forward,to protect the legitimate rights and interests of patients,and to construct a new diagnosis and treatment idea for the practice of advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment.Advanced cancer is a life-to-death process.Facing death,cultivating a scientific view of life,popularizing life and death studies,and carrying out life education are the guarantee for the implementation of appropriate medical care,the prerequisite for the development of tranquility and treatment,and the foundation for the promotion of death with dignity.In the clinical diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer,it is helpful to protect the patient’s informed consent,guide family members to pay attention to and respect the patient’s right to life,attach importance to the ethical issues of excessive medical treatment,and review the ethical dilemmas in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced cancer in light of the actual situation in China.Protect the rights of patients,help doctors,patients,and their families correctly understand the nature and meaning of life,improve the quality of life of patients with advanced cancer,rebuild the medical ethics of the advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment team,and promote the harmonious development of doctor-patient relations.
