Aim To determine the incidence and clinical characteristics of wearing-off(WO)phenomena.Methods 129 PD patients were recruited into a cross-sectional study, and demographic characteristics and clinical histories were collected.SCOPA-AUT,PDSS,HAMD,HAMA and MMSE,and the health related quality of life during the past one month was assessed by PDQ-39.WO phenomena were determined by both UPDRS-36 item and the WOQ-9questionnaire.Motor functions,non-motor symptoms and WO phenomena were assessed.Results(1)The incidence of WO phenomena in our study was 51.9%.(2)Based on the clinical characteristics of WO phenomena, the fluctuation of non-motor symptoms did not exit alone.(3)Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that PDQ-39 SI was correlated with WOQ-9 score(p=0.010),HAMA score(p=0.028),and MMSE score(p=0.016)(R~2=0.55,F=15.28).Conclusion The incidence of WO phenomena is high and its clinical characteristics are diversified but regular.WO phenomena were an important influencing factor which greatly impact the health related quality of life of PD patients.
