| Objective(s):The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depression among couples undergoing ART treatment, analyze the influence of family social support on anxiety and depression, and explore the influencing factors of anxiety and depression,so as to provide a certain theoretical reference for formulating reasonable psychological intervention measures, improving the mental health of infertile patients, and increasing the success rate of ART treatment. Methods:A self-administered questionnaire was conducted among infertile couples selected by random cluster sampling, who received ART treatment in the Department of Reproductive Genetics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from January 2020 to December 2020.The questionnaires included basic information of the subjects,Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS).Epidata software was used to establish a database for data entry and logical consistency test, and SPSS software was used for data statistical analysis.Statistical methods include t test, analysis of variance, rank sum test, binary logistic regression analysis and so on.Results1.Depression in couples undergoing ART treatment(1)The gross score of SDS in wives is(41.25±7.54),and the gross score of SDS in husbands is(40.63±8.04),which are higher than those in domestic norm(P<0.05).(2)There was no statistically significant difference in the gross scores of SDS between the couples(P>0.05),but there was a positive correlation between the gross scores of SDS in the couples(r=0.479,P<0.001).(3)The positive rate of depression in wives is 49.7%(192/386),and that in husbands is 44.3%(171/386).There is no statistically significant difference in the positive rate of depression between the couples(P>0.05);but there is a correlation between the positive rate of depression in the couples(χ2=54.257,P<0.001).(4)Logistic regression results showed that birth place, alcohol consumption,Internet access, mobile phone use, card addiction, relationship with strangers, sexual satisfaction, sexual expectation and social support utilization were the influential factors of depression in the wife.(6)The results of logistic regression showed that ethnicity, family relationship,Internet access, physical exercise and subjective support were the influencing factors of depression in the husband.3.Anxiety in couples undergoing ART treatment(1)The gross score of SAS in wives is(34.91 ± 6.19),and the gross score of SAS in husbands is(34.30 ± 6.56),which are higher than those in domestic norm(P<0.05).(2)There was no statistically significant difference in the rough gross scores of SAS between the couples(P>0.05),but there was a positive correlation between the rough gross scores of SAS in the couples(r=0.346,P<0.001).(3)The positive rate of anxiety in the wife was 21.2%(82/386),and the positive rate of anxiety in the husband was 16.6%(64/386).No statistically significant difference was found in the positive rate of anxiety between the husband and wife(P>0.05).But there was a correlation between positive rate of anxiety in the husband and wife(χ2=25.565,P<0.001).(4)Logistic regression analysis showed that pregnancy history, mobile phone addiction, relationship with strangers, sexual satisfaction and menstrual status were the influencing factors of anxiety in the wife.(6)Logistic regression analysis showed that income status, overall satisfaction, sleep time, mobile phone addiction, relationship with strangers and subjective support were the influencing factors of anxiety in the husband.Conclusion(s)(1)Both SDS gross score and SAS Gross score were higher in couples undergoing ART treatment, and they were more prone to anxiety and depression than the general population.(2)There is no statistically significant difference in the positive rate of anxiety or depression between the couples. It can be assumed that both husband and wife bear the same psychological pressure during ART treatment, and the symptoms of anxiety or depression are similar.(3)There is a correlation in the positive rate of anxiety or depression between the couples. It can be considered that during the ART treatment, the anxiety and depression of the couple have a mutual influence.(4)The depression status of wives was influenced by the place of birth, alcohol consumption, internet access, mobile phone use, card addiction, relationship with strangers, sexual life satisfaction, sexual life expectancy and social support utilization. The depression status of husbands was influenced by nationality, family relationship,Internet use, physical exercise and subjective support, among which Internet use was the common influencing factor.(5)The wife’s anxiety was influenced by pregnancy history, mobile phone addiction, relationship with strangers, sexual satisfaction and menstruation. The husbands anxiety was influenced by income, overall satisfaction, sleep time, mobile phone addiction, relationship with strangers and subjective support.Among them, mobile phone addiction and relationship with strangers were the common factors of anxiety.
