ObjectiveTo observe the effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation and acupuncture combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation on three items of pelvic floor surface electromyography of early postpartum primiparas, and to explore the effect of acupuncture on the recovery of postpartum pelvic floor muscles strength from three aspects:class Ⅱmuscles strength, class Ⅰ-Ⅱ muscles synergistic contractile strength and class Ⅰ muscles strength,so as to provide clinical basis for prevention and treatment of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.MethodsThe subjects of this study came from primiparas 42 days after delivery who were screened in obstetric clinic and women’s health clinic of Shenzhen Baoan Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2020 to December 2020.The results of pelvic floor surface electromyography evaluation by the pelvic floor rehabilitation instruments showed that the average maximum value of class Ⅱ muscle fibers in rapid contraction, the overall average value of class Ⅰ muscle fibers in permanent contraction and the overall average value of class Ⅰ-Ⅱ muscle fibers in synergistic contraction stage were all lower than the normal range.According to the random number method,60 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control group and study group. The control group was treated with pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation, while the study group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group. Both groups started treatment within the same day after inclusion, with 28 days as a course of treatment, once every 3 days, for a total of 10 times. The age,BMI,gestational age and newborn weight of the two groups were recorded as baseline data for comparable analysis. The changes of surface electromyography values of three items of pelvic floor muscles in the two groups before and after treatment were recorded and compared within and between groups. The more electromyography values increased after treatment, the more muscles strength of the corresponding type of pelvic floor muscles increased, and the better the therapeutic effect was.ResultsA total of 60 qualified cases were included in this study. There were no adverse events,no case dropping out and no missing data in the course of treatment.Finally,30 cases in the study group and 30 cases in the control group were statistically analyzed, and the results were as follows:1.Comparison of baseline data between the two groups before treatment:there was no significant difference in age,BMI,gestational age, neonatal weight and three items of pelvic floor sEMG between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Intra-group comparison after treatment:compared with 42 days postpartum, three items of pelvic floor sEMG of the two groups increased after one course of treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment:after one course of treatment, three items of pelvic floor sEMG of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionBiofeedback electrical stimulation can improve the class Ⅱ muscles strength, class Ⅰ-Ⅱmuscles synergistic contractile strength and class Ⅰ muscles strength of postpartum pelvic floor. That is,it can improve the pelvic floor muscles strength from three aspects:maximum contractile strength, endurance and muscles coordination.Acupuncture treatment can increase the improvement degree of puerperal pelvic floor muscles strength by enhancing the curative effect of these three aspects.Acupuncture is an effective adjuvant therapy for the rehabilitation of postpartum pelvic floor function in modern medicine. |
