| Objective:This study focused on adolescent Patients with depression,to investigate the status of stigma and explore the correlation between stigma and self-esteem and Parenting style.In theory,it makes up for the deficiency of relevant literature and Provides direction and thinking for future scientific research.In Practice,it Provides a new perspective for the psychotherapy of adolescents,and at the same time makes Parents realize the importance of Parenting style in the Process of psychotherapy,so as to eliminate the stigma of Patients caused by diseases and improve their mental health level.Methods:With the method of convenience sampling,the first affiliated hospital of kunming medical university,the second people’s hospital of yunnan Province two level 3 first-class hospital outpatient clinic of adolescents was conducted in 92 cases of Patients with depression,general situation questionnaire,the Link includes disease shame series scale,Parents Parenting scale,self-esteem scale,etc,to all the participants to explain the purpose of the study,obtained the consent of the people close to the completed questionnaire,and statistical analysis.Results:1.The average score of "disparage-discrimination perception" in adolescent depression Patients was 2.39±0.39,significantly higher than the midpoint of 2.50(P<0.01).In the coping style scale,the scores of secrecy,withdrawal,education and challenge were also significantly higher than the mid-Point 2.50(P<0.01).There was also a significant difference between the score of misunderstanding and the midpoint 2.50 in the two dimensions of the emotional experience scale(P<0.01).2.Adolescent depression Patients of different genders and grades had differences in coping styles and perception dimensions of stigma,with statistical significance(P<0.01).3.The self-esteem scores measured by Patients were significantly lower than the national norm.There were significant differences in self-esteem among different grades of adolescent depression Patients(P<0.05).4.Adolescent depression Patients and normal adolescents father emotional warm understanding(P<0.05);Over-Protection(P<0.01);(P<0.01);There were significant differences in the severity of Punishment(P<0.01)and other dimensions.The mothers of adolescents with depression and normal adolescents had warm emotional understanding(P<0.01);Over-Protection(P<0.01);Severe Punishment(P<0.01)excessive interference;(P<0.01)and other dimensions had significant differences.There are significant differences in Parental rearing styles of adolescents with depression of different genders in dimensions such as father’s excessive interference and refusal to deny(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the dimensions of father Punishment and severity among the adolescents with different only-child conditions(P<0.05).There were significant differences among different grades of adolescent depression Patients(P<0.05).There were significant differences in mother’s refusal to deny,severity of Punishment and other dimensions(P<0.05).5.The five dimensions of stigma of adolescent depression Patients were negatively correlated with self-esteem,such as secrecy,withdrawal,misunderstanding,difference/shame(r=-0.284~-0.422,P<0.01),disparagement and discrimination perception(r=-0.244,P<0.05).6.In the scale of Parental rearing style,there was a Positive correlation between maternal emotional warmth understanding and father’s emotional warmth understanding and self-esteem(r=0.431~0.515,P<0.01);Fathers’ denial,fathers’severe Punishment,mothers’ denial,mothers’ severe Punishment(r=-0.347~-0.378,P<0.01)and fathers’ over-Protection(r=-0.225,P<0.05)were negatively correlated with self-esteem.7.The Paternal emotional warmth and understanding in the scale of Parenting style were negatively correlated with the demeaning-discrimination perception,confidentiality,misunderstanding,(r=-0.398~-0.477,P<0.01)different/shame(r=-0.224,P<0.05)dimensions in the scale of stigma.The severity of Paternal Punishment in the scale of Parental rearing style was Positively correlated with the dimensions of secrecy and withdrawal in the scale of stigma(r=0.213-0.236,P<0.05).Paternal Preference was negatively correlated with confidentiality(r=-0.311,P<0.01)and misunderstanding(r=-0.210,P<0.05).Fathers’ denial was Positively correlated with confidentiality(r=0.206,P<0.05)and challenge(r=0.342,P<0.01)dimensions of stigma scale.The Paternal over-Protection in the scale of Parenting style was Positively correlated with the demeaning-discrimination perception,confidentiality,challenge,difference/shame(r=0.208-0.219,P<0.05),education and misunderstanding(r=0.284-0.307,P<0.01)dimensions in the scale of stigma.There was a negative correlation between maternal emotional warmth and understanding in the scale of Parental Parenting style and the dimensions of disparage-discrimination perception,withdraw,difference/shame,secrecy and misunderstanding in the scale of stigma(r=-0.297~-0.475,P<0.01).There was a Positive correlation between maternal denial and misunderstanding(r=0.240,P<0.05),confidentiality and challenge(r=0.285~0.347,P<0.01)in the scale of stigma.The severity of maternal Punishment was Positively correlated with the misunderstanding(r=0.248,P<0.05)and confidentiality(r=0.310,P<0.01)dimensions of stigma scale.There was a negative correlation between maternal Preference and misunderstanding(r=-0.209,P<0.05)and secrecy(r=-0.313,P<0.01)in the scale of stigma.8.In the regression analysis of Parental Parenting style on stigma,the father’s emotional warmth and understanding had a significant negative effect on stigma(t=-3.529,P<0.01);Paternal over-protection had a significant Positive effect on stigma(t=3.913,P<0.01).The maternal emotional warmth and understanding had a significant negative effect on stigma(t=-3.874,P<0.01).In the regression analysis of self-esteem and stigma,self-esteem had a significant negative effect on stigma(t=-3.635,P<0.01).In the regression analysis of Parental rearing style and self-esteem on stigma,self-esteem and maternal rearing style had significant effects on stigma,and self-esteem had significant negative effects on stigma(t=-3.134,P<0.01).Maternal emotional warmth and understanding had a significant negative effect on stigma(t=-3.072,P<0.01);Fathers’emotional warmth and understanding had a significant negative effect on stigma(t=-2.895,P<0.01).There were significant Positive effects of Paternal over-protection on stigma(t=3.798,P<0.01).Conclusions:1.This study shows that the level of stigma in adolescent depression Patients is low;Gender and grade are the influencing factors of stigma in adolescent Patients with depression.2.Adolescent depression Patients have low self-esteem;There are differences in self-esteem among Patients of different grades.3.Parental rearing Patterns of adolescent depression Patients are mostly negative;There are differences in Parental rearing styles among Patients with different genders,grades and one-child status.4.There was a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and stigma in adolescents with depression;There was a Positive correlation between self-esteem and Positive Parenting style and a negative correlation between self-esteem and negative Parenting style.There was a negative correlation between stigma and Positive Parenting style,and a Positive correlation between stigma and negative Parenting style.5.Parental rearing style and self-esteem can Predict stigma in adolescents with depression. |
