Objective:This study was to explore the correlation between pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor in diabetes,obesity,dyslipidemia and the onset of through retrospective analysis of the clinical datas of patients,to find the risk factors of pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor,then to give a help for prevention.In order to provide a help for the differential diagnosis between pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor,we have compared the differences of fasting blood glucose,body mass index,blood lipids between pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor.Methods:(1)Clinical datas collection:collected clinical datas of 116 cases of parotid pleomorphic adenoma and 83cases of Warthin tumor which had diagnosed by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Kunming Medical University from June 2017 to October 2020.we collected tumor location,gender,age,height,weight,smoking history,fasting blood glucose,diabetes history,total cholesterol,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.(2)Experimental methods:Compared and observed the differences between the two groups of patients by gender,age,smoking history,body mass index,fasting blood glucose,diabetes history,blood lipid clinical characteristics.(3)The SPSS26.0 software was used to establish a database for analysis.The continuous variables conforming to the normal distribution were expressed by the mean and standard deviation,and the analysis of variance was used for the comparison between groups.The count data was expressed as n(%)by the chi-square test.Correlation analysis adopted multivariate linear regression,P<0.05 indicates that the difference is statistically significant,P<0.01 indicates that there is a significant statistical difference,and P<0.001 indicates that there is a very significant statistical difference.Results:(1)There were 116 pleomorphic adenoma included in the study,the ratio of male to female(46:70),the incidence of women was more than that of males,83 cases of Warthin tumor were mainly males(82:1)P<0.001;pleomorphic adenoma mostly occurred in the middle-young People(81.80%),Warthin tumor were more common in middle-aged and elderly people(96.40%)P<0.001;pleomorphic adenoma was 12 to 79 years old,with average age of 41.92±15.45 years;Warthin tumor was 36 to 82 years old,The average age was 58.08±9.41 year P<0.001.(2)The incidence of overweight and obesity of pleomorphic adenoma was 39.6%,and the Warthin tumor was 68.70%,Warthin tumor had a higher rate of overweight and obesity P<0.01.(3)In terms of the history of diabetes,pleomorphic adenoma was 6%and Warthin tumor was 9.60%,there was no statistical difference P>0.05.fasting blood glucose of 94.80%pleomorphic adenoma was normal,and Warthin tumor was 85.50%,there was a statistical difference P<0.05.Fasting blood glucose of pleomorphic adenoma was 4.81±0.75 mmol/L lower than Warthin tumor 5.29±1.16 mmol/L,and there was a significant statistical difference P<0.01.(4)In the history of smoking,pleomorphic adenoma was 15.50%,and that Warthin tumor was 79.50%.There was a significant statistical difference in smoking history between the two groups P<0.001.(5)The body mass index of pleomorphic adenoma was 23.21 ±0.30 kg/m2,which was lower than that of Warthin tumor 25.36±3.57 kg/m2.There was a significant statistical difference P<0.001.(6)When the patients were older than 40 years old:pleomorphic adenoma statistical age was 55.91±10.67 years old and Warthin tumor was 59.27±9.20 years old,they had no statistical difference in age P>0.05,at the time pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor was still no statistical difference P>0.05,in the history of diabetes;there was no significant statistical difference in fasting blood glucose comparison 5.09±0.74:5.33±1.22 mmol/L,P>0.05;there was still a very significant statistical difference in the history of smoking 8.90%:75.70%P<0.001;there was a significant statistical difference in dyslipidemia P<0.001,the dyslipidemia of pleomorphic adenoma was 24.40%,and Warthin tumor was 60%;body mass index level of pleomorphic adenoma was 23.82±3.16 kg/m2,Warthing tumor was 25.51±3.70kg/m2,it still has a statistically significant difference P<0.05;blood lipid index:total cholesterol of pleomorphic adenoma was 4.65±0.59mmol/L,triglyceride was 1.66±0.74mmol/L,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 2.94±0.60mmol/L,total cholesterol of Warthin tumor was 4.74±0.96mmol/L,triglyceride was2.47±3.42mmol/L,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 3.16±0.90mmol/L,There was no statistical difference in total cholesterol,triglyceride,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol P>0.05;high-density lipoprotein cholesterol of mixed tumor was 1.28±0.32mmol/L,then Warthin tumor was 1.07±0.30mmol/L.There was a difference between the two Significant statistical difference P<0.001.Conclusions:Pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin tumor was different in gender,age,smoking history,blood glucose,body mass index,and blood lipid.Warthin tumor has a higher incidence of overweight and obesity,dyslipidemia,smoking history.In the differential diagnosis of the two tumor,age,gender,smoking factors,obesity,body mass index,and dyslipidemia may also be important distinguishing factors.It is recommended that middle-aged and elderly people should quit smoking as soon as possible,then keep a reasonable diet,strengthen exercise,and control weight.Monitor blood sugar and blood lipid levels.
