Objective:12300 samples were analyzed for the BMI index, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose of subjects living in Hunan province. The rate of overweight and obesity people was calculated. The correlation of blood pressure and blood glucose with different BMI was analyzed.Methods:123000 people were selected randomly and then investigated. The body weight, height, blood pressure and fasting blood glucose were examined and analyzed by statistical method.Result:The rate of overweight people was 20.6%,lower than average level of the whole nation;the rate of obesity people was 14.0%,higher than average level of the whole nation. In normal BMI index group, the SBP,DBP and sickness rate of hypertension were lower than the group of overweight and obesity significantly. The SBP,DBP and sickness rate of hypertension of overweight group were lower than obesity group significantly.Compared with normal BMI index group, the OR and 95%CI of overweight and obesity groups of the SBP,DBP and sickness rate of hypertension were 1.64 (1.53-1.75) and 3.40 (2.89-3.99) respectively. The OR increased with BMI index, the highest was obesity group. In normal BMI index group, the fasting blood glucose and sickness rates of diabetes were lower than obesity group.Compared with normal BMI index group, the OR and 95%CI of overweight and obesity groups of the fasting blood glucose and sickness rates of diabetes were 1.21 (1.03-1.47) and 1.64 (1.38-2.01),respectively.The OR increased with BMI index, the highest was obesity group.Conclusion:1.The rate of people with obesity BMI was significantly than average of the whole nation.2.The sickness rate and risk of hypertension significantly increased in the group of overweight and obesity people.3.The sickness rate and risk of diabetes significantly increased in the group of overweight and obesity people.
