ObjectiveSystematically sort out the historical evolution and main viewpoints of vipassana, spiritual inner keeping,self-cultivation thoughts and methods in traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese Confucianism,Taoism, and Zen,correct the roots, refine their essence, and combine traditional vipassana based on cross-cultural comparative research between China and foreign countries. The method is creatively transformed into modern operable clinical psychotherapy techniques. At the same time, information collection technologies such as biofeedback instruments are used to dynamically observe physiological indicators such as electrical skin, respiration, and heart rate variability of the subjects in the Vipassana experimental group, and through the comparative analysis and statistics of the data before and after the scale, the traditional Vipassana therapy is used The effectiveness of psychotherapy for anxiety disorders and its neuropsychological mechanism are experimentally studied.MethodsBy searching the Weipu Journal Database,CNKI Database,Wanfang Journal Database,PubMed,Medline and other electronic academic resource websites,"Chinese Medicine","InnerView","Mind Learning","Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism","Spiritual Inner Guard","Mindfulness" and other keywords search and collect relevant literature in the past 10 years, summarize and sort out the research themes and important points, and launch relevant clinical empirical research and experimental research.Using traditional Chinese Vipassana therapy to conduct Vipassana training on 40 patients with anxiety disorders, and use biofeedback to measure the skin conductance, respiratory rate, heart rate and other physiological and psychological responses during Vipassana training in an experimental group of 40 healthy college students. To explore the mechanism of Vipassana therapy on the physiological and psychological effects. Both the experimental group and the clinical group implemented psychological scale measurements before and after training to evaluate the effect of training.ResultsThe literature results show that Vipassana therapy is a psychotherapy technique with oriental local cultural characteristics promoted by Confucianism,Taoism,Buddhism and Chinese medicine. It not only has profound ideological connotations, but also has the practical characteristics of convenient operation, accurate effect and wide application. It is worthwhile deeply dig out and sort out psychological techniques with modern clinical application value. However,in research and application, special attention should be paid to correcting the source to prevent traditional Vipassana thoughts and techniques from being distorted and interpreted. The experimental results showed that after 4 weeks of training in traditional Chinese Vipassana therapy, the total score of the SCL-90 scale of patients in the clinical treatment group decreased from 200.02±76.75 to 160.72±47.24,and the overall factor scores also showed a downward trend;the total HAMA The score of 24.35±9.74 dropped to 16.65±5.73.The factor scores of both mental anxiety and physical anxiety also decreased, while the experimental group showed a significant decrease in mental anxiety;the total SAS score increased from 58.18±12.68 It drops to 51.46±8.41,The above differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).After testing the changes in electrophysiological indicators such as skin electricity, heart rate, and respiratory rate of the subjects in the experimental observation group,it is observed that vipassana training can slow down the subjects’ heart rate, slow breathing, decrease skin conductance, and decline the subjects’electrophysiological indicators. It shows that the sympathetic nerve activity has decreased and the human body is in a relaxed state, indicating that Vipassana training can promote the subjects to enter a relaxed state, and the difference is more obvious.ConclusionThis study proves that traditional Chinese Vipassana therapy can slow down the subjects’heart rate, slow breathing, decrease skin conductance, decline in the subjects’electrophysiological indicators, and decrease the activity of sympathetic nerves, and reduce their excitement by alleviating the tension of sympathetic nerves, relieve the physical discomfort caused by anxiety, improve the patient’s diet and sleep state, and at the same time promote the change of the patient’s life attitude and lifestyle by improving the patient’s awareness of the connotation of self-cultivation.
