Clinical Observation Of Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction In Treating Cough Variant Asthma Of Shaoyang Syndrome

Objective:To study the clinical efficacy and safety of Modified Xiaochaihu decoction in treating cough variant asthma(CVA)of Shaoyang Syndrome.Methods:From October 2019 to October 2020,60 adult Patients with CVA of Shaoyang syndrome were selected from the Res Piratory De Partment of The Second Affiliated Hos Pital of Shandong University of traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and randomly divided into control grou P and ex Perimental grou P,30 cases in each grou P.The control grou P received basic western medicine treatment,and the ex Perimental grou P received basic western medicine treatment Plus Modified Xiaochaihu decoction for 4 weeks as a course of treatment.After the course of treatment,the clinical efficacy of TCM,the scores of main and secondary sym Ptoms,visual analog score of cough,FeNO and EOS count were com Pared and statistically analyzed between the two grou Ps before and after treatment.Results:Before and after treatment within the grou P,the two grou Ps achieved good curative effects,and were statistical differences in im Proving the scores of major sym Ptoms,scores of minor sym Ptoms,cough VAS,FeNO and EOS counts(P<0.01).In com Parison between the grou Ps,there was no statistical difference between the two grou Ps in terms of im Proving the main sym Ptom scores,cough VAS,FeNO and EOS counts(P>0.05);in terms of the efficacy of TCM sym Ptoms,the ex Perimental grou P was better than the control grou P(P<0.05);In terms of secondary sym Ptom scores,there was no statistical difference in the im Provement of dry Pharynx and anorexia(P > 0.05),but there was statistical difference in the im Provement of bitter mouth sym Ptoms(P < 0.05)and chest Pain and fullness sym Ptoms(P < 0.01).In terms of safety,there was no obvious damage of liver and kidney function and there were no obvious toxic or side effects in both grou Ps.Conclusion:Modified Xiaochaihu decoction show good curative effect in treating CVA of Shaoyang syndrome,which can significantly im Prove the main and secondary sym Ptoms of Patients,and significantly reduce the count of cough VAS,FeNO and EOS.There are no adverse reactions,so it is worth further studying and Po Pularizing.
