Clinical Study Of Erxian Decoction And Xiao Chai Hu Decoction In Treating Menopausal Syndrome Type 2 Diabetes

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Erxian Decoction and Xiao Chaihu Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with menopausal syndrome,and provide new syndrome differentiation ideas and treatment methods for TCM treatment of such diseases.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of type 2 diabetes combined with menopausal syndrome with kidney deficiency and liver depression,66 patients were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group using random number table method.In the course of treatment,5 cases were eliminated,30 cases were in the experimental group and 31 cases were in the control group.The two groups of patients received basic treatment of diabetes(health education,diet control,regular exercise).The test group was treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets(Gehuazhi)and traditional Chinese medicine decoction;the control group was treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets(Gehuazhi).Both groups were treated for 8weeks.Main efficacy indicators: TCM syndrome score scale,Kupperman score scale;secondary efficacy indicators: fasting blood glucose(FPG),2h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),estradiol(E2)and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)levels were observed once before and after treatment to evaluate the respective curative effects of the two groups.Results:1.A total of 66 patients were collected according to the inclusion criteria,and 5 patients were excluded and dropped due to poor compliance and loss of follow-up during the treatment process,including 3 in the experimental group and 2 in the control group,which were not included in the statistics.2.The total curative effect of the disease: the total curative effect of the experimental group is 76.7%,and the total curative effect of the control group is 54.8%.After Chi-square test,P<0.01,the difference is statistically significant.3.TCM syndrome score: Total TCM syndrome score in 2 groups decrease d after treatment(P<0.01);After treatment,the total score in the exp erimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.01).4.The curative effect of TCM symptoms: the total curative effect of the experimental group is 90%,and the total curative effect of the control group is 58%.After Chi-square test,P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant.5.Kupperman score: After treatment,Kupperman score in both groups was lower than before(P<0.01);After treatment,the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.01).6.After treatment,fasting blood glucose(FPG)and postprandial 2h blood glucose(2hPG)were lower than before treatment,and there was a statistical difference compared with before treatment(P<0.01);after treatment,the test group was superior in the control group(P < 0.01).In terms of glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels,there was no statistical difference between the two groups after treatment and before treatment(P>0.05),and there was no statistical difference between the groups after treatment(P>0.05).7.After treatment,the level of estradiol(E2)in the test group was higher than before treatment,and there was a statistical difference within the group(P<0.01);the control group was lower than before treatment,and there was no statistical difference within the group(P>0.05));There was a statistical difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Follicle Stimulating Hormone(FSH)in the experimental group after treatment decreased compared with before treatment,and there was a statistical difference within the group(P<0.01);the control group increased after treatment compared with before treatment,and there was no statistical difference within the group(P>0.05);There was a statistical difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Erxian Decoction and Xiao Chai Hu Decoction can effectively improve the TCM syndrome score and Kupperman score of patients with type 2 diabetes and menopausal syndrome.2.Erxian Decoction and Xiaochaihu Decoction combined with metformin hydrochloride tablets(Gehuazhi)can effectively improve the fasting blood sugar and 2h postprandial blood glucose of female menopausal diabetic patients,which is more effective than oral metformin hydrochloride tablets(Gehuazhi).3.Erxian Decoction and Xiao Chaihu Decoction can increase estradiol(E2),reduce follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),and regulate the level of sex hormones in women with menopausal diabetes.
