Application Of Modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder And Traditional Chinese Medicine In Prevention And Treatment The Cervical Spondylosis Of Vertebral Artery Type

Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type(CSA)is a common clinical disease,mainly manifested as dizziness,headache,neck stiffness,etc.For the treatment,there is no definite drug for symptomatic treatment and therapeutic method from the aspect Western Medicine.It is still in the exploration stage in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)aspect.The TCM has certain curative effect in acupuncture,Tuina therapy and Chinese herbs,as well as certain limitations in the meantime.By analyzing the pathogenesis of CSA,syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis obstructing is the important pathological mechanism.Syndromes,liver-spleen disharmony and qi-blood deficiency,are the main pathological basis.The lesion is located at the muscle and bone of neck,involving brain over time.The pathological changes are mainly focused on deficiency-excess in complexity.The deficiency is manifested as liver-spleen disharmony and qi-blood deficiency and the excess is manifested as phlegm and blood stasis obstructing and brain failing to nourish.Therefore,the etiology and pathogenesis of CSA are closely related to the three factors:deficiency,phlegm and blood stasis.Angelica and Peony Powder,stemmed from Synopsis of Golden Chamber,consists of Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Poria,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Rhizoma Alismatis.It is found that,after clinical application and experimental study,this formula has positive effects on many fields,such as gynecology,nervous system,circulatory system,digestive system and urinary system.The Modified Angelica and Peony Powder,adopted Radix Paeoniae Rubra and Radix Paeoniae Alba simultaneously,includes Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Praeparata cum Melle and Radix Puerariae Lobatae.By comparing with the commonly used formulas for CSA,such as Pinellia,Atractylodes Macrocephala and Gastrodia Decoction,Yang-Supplementing and Five-Returning Decoction and Gastrodia and Uncaria Beverage,the Modified Angelica and Peony Powder can balance the three factors:deficiency,phlegm and blood stasis.It can relax neck muscle tissue to relieve the syndromes of stiffness and pain,as well as improve head blood circulation to relieve the syndromes of dizziness headache,so that to make an impact on tonifying and replenishing qi and blood,harmonizing liver and spleen and resolving phlegm and dispelling stasis to relieve pain,which has large advantage in treating CSA and has been illustrated.At the same time,through the study found that paying attention to traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and nursing is of great significance to the treatment and rehabilitation of CSA.We are aiming to further explore the clinical application value of Angelica and Peony Powder and daily nursing of CSA in this study to provide new thoughts and methods to the treatment of CSA.
