Objectives: The study aims at making a comparison between the treatments of Zhengjia in Synopsis of Golden Chamber and those from ancient Chinese Medicine doctors,providing a reference for the treatment for abnormal abdominal masses in Western Medicine.Methods: Literature research was used to collect and analyze so as to compare the treatments of Zhengjia in Synopsis of Golden Chamber and those from ancient Chinese Medicine doctors.Frequency analysis was adopted as well for the prescriptions and herbs employed.Results:(1)The scope of the class of Zhengjia in the study Based on the sources of Zhengjia in literatures,the scope of the diseases related to Zhengjia was limited.Diseases in the class of Zhengjia were Changxun,Shijia,Jijiu,Xuan,Pi and Shan in the thesis.(2)Treatments of Zhengjia from Zhang Zhongjing Bejiajian pills,Dahuangzhechong pills,Guzhifulin pills are applied to treat Zhengjia.(3)Comparison between the treatments from Zhang Zhongjing and those from ancient Chinese Medicine doctors some representative ancient Chinese Medicine doctors were selected.They were Chao Yuanfang and Sun Simiao from Qin-Han dynasty to Sui-Tang dynasty,Zhang Su’an and Zhang Congzheng fromSong-Jing-Yuan dynasty,Li Zhongzi and Gong Tingxian of Ming dynasty,Chen Shiduo and Ye Gui from Qing dynasty,and Zhang Xichun and Qian Bowen in modern times.Their treatments of Zhengjia were compared and analyzed to give a picture of the development of the treatments for Zhengjia.(4)Statistical analysis on the medical cases and the treatments of Zhengjia 110 prescriptions and 154 drugs were selected from Qin-Han dynasty to Sui-Tang dynasty.463 prescriptions and 276 drugs were chosen from Song-Jin-Yuan dynasty.189 prescriptions and 219 drugs were adopted in Ming dynasty.50 prescriptions and 138 drugs were utilized in Qing dynasty.What’s more,274 medical cases and 219 drugs were applied in the study.Conclusions: It has been demonstrated that a systematic theoretical system concerning Zhenjia has been made in Chinese Medicine from the aspects of principle,method,prescription and medicine.The treatment for Zhengjia from Zhang Zhongjing has been applied and promoted by the doctors of later generations.Zhang Zhongjing stated that blood stasis,sputum,qi stagnation and the yang deficiency were the etiology and pathogenesis of the Zhenjia.However,his idea only provides a basic concept for the treatment.The doctors of the next generations continuously promoted the method s to treat Zhenjia.The prescriptions developed by the doctors reflect the academic development.it can be concluded that the treatment of Zhenjia mainly focuseson activating blood and removing blood stasis and with the assistance of strengthening the spleen and tonifying the vital qi and removing dampness and phlegm.The analysis on the medical cases shows that doctors treat patients with Zhanjia from the perspective of stagnant sputum,blood stasis,qi stagnation,dyspepsia and weakness and deficiency in spleen and stomach.The theory is still the basis for the clinical treatment in nowadays.
