Objectives: To understand the tumor patients with PICC catheter general demographic characteristics and disease related information, through the analysis of the multidisciplinary collaboration(multidisciplinary team,MDT)model of health education for tumor patients with PICC catheter self management ability, health education acceptance, quality of life and the impact of catheter complications, for the future hospital cancer patients with PICC catheter in MDT care mode of health education for reference. Methods: Using the convenience sampling method,100 oncology patients with PICC placement in a tertiary care general hospital in Jilin Province from June to September 2020 were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and grouped according to the order of admission;the first 50 cases were designated as the control group to implement conventional care, and the last50 cases were designated as the intervention group to implement conventional care plus a 3-month MDT care model health education intervention.Baseline data were collected in the form of face-to-face questions and answers before and after the intervention;the complications of the study subjects were collected from the PICC maintenance records after 3 months of intervention.SPSS26.0 software was selected for statistical analysis of the data.Results:1.The results of homogeneity test of general information,self-management ability, health education acceptance and quality of life of the study subjects in this study showed no statistical significance(P > 0.05)and were comparable.2.After 3 months of health education intervention based on MDT care model, the total scores of self-management ability of patients in the intervention group and control group were(142.82±3.224)and(132.48±5.614),respectively,t=11.293,P<0.001,with significant differences;between the 7 dimensions of self-management ability, the total scores of each dimension were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P< 0.05).3.After 3 months of health education intervention based on MDT care model, the total scores of health education acceptance in the intervention group and the control group were(76.173±6.617)and(65.870±9.267),respectively,t=6.399,P<0.001,with a significant difference;between the 5dimensions of health education acceptance, including the total score of the dimension at the time of tube placement, the difference was not Among the 5 dimensions of health education acceptance, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05)when comparing the total scores of the other 4dimensions(P<0.05).4.After 3 months of health education intervention based on MDT care model, the total quality of life scores of patients in the intervention group and control group were(68.10±3.950)and(63.32±4.391),respectively,t=5.723,P<0.001,with significant differences;among the 4 dimensions of quality of life, the total scores of 3 of them(physical, emotional, and functional)were compared, and the differences were The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05)when comparing the total scores of social dimensions.5.After 3 months of health education intervention based on MDT care model,17 patients(17%)in both groups had complications,4(8%)and 13(26%)in the intervention and control groups,respectively,X~2=5.741,P=0.017,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion: Health education based on MDT nursing model can effectively improve the ability of PICC placement self-management and acceptance of health education in tumor patients, improve their quality of life and reduce the incidence of PICC complications.
