Demographic Characteristics And Risk Factors Of Comorbid Anxiety And Depression In Adults With Epilepsy | | Posted on:2022-04-16 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X G Zang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2504306329973769 | Subject:Neurology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | ObjectiveTo analyze the demographic characteristics and risk factors of comorbid anxiety and depression in adults with epilepsy.MethodsEpilepsy group collected from September 2018 to June 2020 from Jilin University Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital neurology diagnosis of epilepsy patients.The control group collected healthy people from September 2019 to June2020.For the experimental group to record the general demographic data of patients and disease related information,Application of the Simple Mental State Checklist(MMSE)for assessment,MMSE>=27 points match.Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale table(HAMA)for depression and anxiety determination.For the control group,the general demographic characteristics of the patients were recorded,and the anxiety and depression were measured by HAMD、HAMA.The epilepsy group and the control group were divided into anxiety group,depression group,comorbid anxiety and depression group,severe anxiety group and severe depression group.The demographic characteristics of sex,age,occupation and marriage in the experimental group and the control group were tested by t respectively,and the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis was carried out in epilepsy group,and the influencing factors of comorbid anxiety and depression were screened.The univariate analysis P<0.0.Factors of 05 were included in regression analysis,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results76 cases in epilepsy group and 76 cases in control group were collected.There was no significant difference in demographic characteristics between epileptic group and control group.Epilepsy group had higher incidence of anxiety and depression than control group,and P<0.05 difference was statistically significant.Attack frequency,manifestation,course of disease were correlated with total HAMA score.Attack frequency is correlated with total HAMD score.The regression analysis showed that the frequency of attack was linearly correlated with the course of disease and the total HAMA score,and the frequency of attack was linearly correlated with the total HAMD score.ConclusionEpilepsy group and control group There was no significant difference in demographic characteristics.The incidence of anxiety and depression in epilepsy group was higher than that in control group.The frequency and course of attack may be HAMA risk factors,and the frequency of attack may be HAMD risk factors.seizure frequency may be a common risk factor for HAMA and HAMD. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Epilepsy, Anxiety, Depression, Demographic Characteristics, Risk factors, Regression analysis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
