Study On The Correlation Between The Core Competence Of Dental Specialist Nurses And The Belief In Standard Prevention Compliance

Objectives:By investigating the core competence and standard prevention compliance beliefs of dental specialist nurses,understand and evaluate the status quo of the core competence and standard prevention beliefs of dental specialist nurses,analyze the influencing factors of core competence and standard prevention compliance beliefs,and explore the correlation between the two,provide a theoretical basis for managers to take targeted measures to effectively improve the core competence of nurses and strengthen the beliefs of nurses’standard prevention compliance,thereby improving the quality and safety of hospital care,and promoting the development of oral care.Methods:The study adopts a convenient sampling method.From July 2020 to September2020,nurses from the stomatology department of three tertiary in a general hospitals and one tertiary of a dental specialist hospital in Changchun City were selected as the research subjects to conduct questionnaires survey.The questionnaire included a self-designed general information questionnaire,a core competency scale for dental specialist nurses,and a standard prevention compliance belief scale for nurses.Epidata3.1 software was used to sort out the data obtained from the survey and double-entry,and SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.The measurement data are expressed by mean±standard deviation,and the comparison between groups is by two independent sample t test;three groups and above are by one-way analysis of variance.Count data is expressed by frequency(percentage),and comparison between groups is by chi-square test;Pearson correlation analysis is used to analyze the correlation between the dimensions of core competence and the dimensions of standard prevention beliefs;multiple linear regression is used to explore independent influencing factors of standard prevention beliefs.P<0.05 indicates statistical significance.Results:1.The total score of core competence level of dental specialist nurses is(141.22±30.37),of which the total score of professional development ability is(44.92±10.46),the total score of professional practice ability is(29.19±6.8),and the total score of educational consulting ability is(23.58±5.92)points,total professional attitude(18.78±3.77)points,total critical thinking points(13.44±3.15)points,total interpersonal skills(5.92±1.31)points,total management skills(5.39±1.44).2.The total score of standard prevention compliance beliefs for dental specialist nurses is(131.02±12.03)points,of which the total precipitating factor dimension is(34.42±4.35)points;the susceptibility dimension is(9.8±2.66)points;the beneficial dimension The total score is(10.78±1.57);the total score of self-efficacy dimension is(20.58±3.74);the severity dimension is(24.45±4.08)points;the obstructive dimension score is(30.99±6.29)points.3.The correlation analysis between the core competence of dental specialist nurses and standard prevention beliefs shows that all dimensions of core competence are positively correlated with standard prevention compliance beliefs.(P<0.05).4.The results of a single factor analysis of the core competence of dental specialist nurses show that different marital status,age,education background,working years,job position,title,appointment method,whether they have received special standard preventive knowledge training,whether they are acting as a substitute teacher or teaching work related with nurses core competence.The correlation analysis between the core competence of dental specialist nurses and standard prevention beliefs shows that all dimensions of core competence are positively correlated with standard prevention compliance beliefs.5.The multivariate stepwise regression analysis of the various dimensions of the standard prevention compliance beliefs of dental specialist nurses shows that whether or not they have specialized in standard prevention knowledge training,the number of years of oral nursing work,professional title,and core competence affect the standard prevention compliance beliefs of dental specialist nurses is the main influencing factors.It can explain 27.4%of the variation(R~2=0.274).Conclusion:1.The core competence of oral specialist nurses in Changchun City is at an intermediate level.Among them,management ability and interpersonal communication ability are low,and professional development ability and professional practice ability have high scores.2.The standard prevention compliance beliefs of dental specialist nurses in Changchun are at a medium level,with the highest score on the beneficial dimension and the lowest score on the susceptibility dimension.3.The core competence of dental specialist nurses is positively correlated with standard prevention beliefs4.The number of years engaged in oral care,professional title,whether or not they have received special training on standard prevention knowledge,and core competence are the main factors that affect the belief in standard prevention compliance.
