ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of the method of stimulating Shu Yuan points and tonifying the mother of five transport points in the treatment of osteoporosis(OP)with deficiency of spleen and stomach Qi,and to explore the effectiveness and safety of the method of Shuyuan and Wushu Bumu in the treatment of OP.It provides scientific experimental basis for the clinical application, provides new ideas and clinical data for the future treatment of OP,and further verifies the advantages of acupuncture intervention in OP.Method72 patients with OP who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group by random number table(36 cases in each group). The OP basic medications are same of two groups. The test group was treated with the method of Shuyuan and Wushu Bumu on the basis of drug treatment.A course of treatment is 13 weeks and 3 times a week. After the treatment, the clinical efficacy of Shuyuan and Wushu Bumu in the treatment of OP was evaluated by bone mineral density(BMD),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),quality of life scale(SF-36)and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome score.Result(1) The difference in gender,age,course,BMD,ALP,SF-36 and TCM syndrome scores between the two groups before treatment was no significant(R>0.05),it was comparable of two groupsn(2) Intra-group comparison: BMD after treatment of two groups was significantly higher than before(Ro0.05);ALP and TCM syndrome scores were significantly lower than before(Ro0.05);SF-36 score in the test group’s Physical Functioning(PF)and Role-Physical(RP),Bodily Pain(BP),General Health(GH),Vitality(VT)and Social Functioning(SF)were significantly higher than before(Ro0.05),Role-Emotional(RE)and Mental Health(MH)were not significantly different from before(Rp0.05),control group’s PF,RP,BP and GH were significantly higher than before treatment(R<0.05),VT,SF,RE and MH were not significantly different from before treatment(R>0.05).(3) Group comparison: After treatment, the test group’s growth trend of BMD was higher than control group’s,but there was no significant difference compared with the control group(R>0.05);the scores of ALP and TCM syndromes scores of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group(Ro0.05));In the SF-36 score, the PF,RP,BP,GH and VT of the test group were significantly higher than those of the control group(Ro0.05),and SF,RE and MH were slightly higher than those of the control group, but all of them were no statistically significant difference between the groups(Rp0.05).(4)After treatment, test group’s total effective rate of TCM syndromes was 91.18%,and the control group’s 69.69%,the former one was significantly higher than the latter one(Ro0.05).Conclusion(1)The total effective rate of treatment of OP with deficiency of spleen and stomach Qi with the method of stimulating Shu Yuan points and tonifying the mother of five transport points is significantly higher than that of only medication.(2)The method of stimulating Shu Yuan points and tonifying the mother of five transport points has obvious advantages in improving patients’ clinical symptoms,TCM syndromes and daily life conditions, and can significantly improve patients’ living standards and self-care ability, which is worthy of clinical reference.(3)Under the guidance of syndrome differentiation and treatment, the method of stimulating Shu Yuan points and tonifying the mother of five transport points, which is simple, safe and convenient in selecting acupoints.
