| Objective:This study, exploring the factors influencing intestinal defoaming effect, can provide the basis for clinical improvement of intestinal defoaming effect, provide reference for scientific formulation of the personalized program of taking dimethicone. Methods:This study was conducted in the Digestive Endoscopy Center of a hospital in Changchun,Jilin Province from August 2020 to November 2020.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 400 colonoscopy subjects who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria by convenience sampling method.1.Before colonoscopy, the colonoscopy subjects were questioned by the way of face-to-face interview. The questionnaire included general demographic data, gastrointestinal symptoms, symptoms of anxiety and insomnia, bowel preparation and the application of dimethicone in colonoscopy.2.After colonoscopy, the quality of bowel preparation and the efficacy of intestinal defoaming effect were evaluated by a physician and the investigator, and the average of the two scores was used as the final result.3.IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data, and statistical analysis methods such as descriptive statistics,t-test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression were used.Results:1.This study included 400 subjects, including 207 males(51.75%)and 193 females(48.25%),with an overall age ranging from 19 to 79 years old.Among the general demographic data, there were statistically significant differences in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect of gastrointestinal ulcers, gastrointestinal cancer and previous colonoscopy with or without dimethicone(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect among gender, age,BMI,education, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, alcohol consumption, smoking, history of abdominal surgery, and antibiotic application within one month before examination(P>0.05).2.The difference analysis results of gastrointestinal symptoms on intestinal defoaming effect showed, there were statistically significant differences in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect of borborygmus, abdominal distension, eructation, increased flatus, decreased passage of stools, hard stools and urgent need for defecation(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect of abdominal pains, sucking sensations in the epigastrium, heartburn, acid regurgitation, nausea and vomiting, increased passage of stools, loose stools, urgent need for defecation, feeling of incomplete evacuation(P>0.05).3.The difference analysis results of anxiety and insomnia symptoms on intestinal defoaming effect showed, there was statistically significant difference in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect among subjects with anxiety symptoms(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of intestinal defoaming effect among subjects with insomnia symptoms(P>0.05).4.Application of dimethicone oil and intestinal preparation of intestinal defoaming effect difference analysis results showed, there were statistically significant differences in the scores of defoaming effect of eating gas-prone food the day before examination, the dose and concentration of dimethicone, the interval time between taking dimethicone and examination, and quality of bowel preparation(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the score of defoaming effect among the choice of cleaning bowel drugs, whether to take cleaning bowel drugs in accordance with the regulations, defecation times after taking cleaning bowel drugs, and the change of posture after taking dimethicone(P>0.05).5.The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that abdominal distension, dose and concentration of dimethicone, increased flatus, interval time between taking dimethicone and examination, and quality of bowel preparation were the main factors affecting the intestinal defoaming effect(P<0.05).It is the adjusted R~2=0.549 and shows that in this equation of variables can explain 54.9%of intestinal defoaming effect difference in colonoscopy.Conclusions:1.The intestinal defoaming effect of the patients with dimethicone in colonoscopy is relatively ideal.2.Influencing factors of intestinal defoaming are dilution method of dimethicone, interval time between taking dimethicone and examination, and quality of bowel preparation, abdominal distension, flatus times were the main factors affecting the intestinal defoaming effect. |
