Analysis Of The Effect Of Dimethicone Powder In The Preparation Of The Intestine:a Single-blind,prospective Randomized Controlled Trial

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of dimethicone powder in bowel preparation before colonoscopy and its advantages in improving the quality of bowel preparation.Methods134 patients who underwent colonoscopy in a top three hospital from December2017 to April 2018 were divided into 2 groups by random number table method and random number remainder grouping method.One group was 67 cases in the experimental group and the other group was 67 in the control group.This was a prospective ? single-blind randomized controlled trial.We compared the intestinal cleanliness?air bubble elimination satisfaction rate and polyp detection rate(PDR)?ResultsThe experimental group had better satisfaction defoaming rate than the control group(P=0.000);Experimental group had betret PDR than control group(P=0.031);Both groups of patients were able to complete bowel preparation well,and there wasno statistically significant difference in intestinal cleanliness(P=0.675);No significant adverse reactions occurred in either group.ConclusionsDimethicone powder can effectively eliminate foam,improve the detection rate of polyps and no adverse reactions,improve the quality of intestinal preparation,and is suitable for application in bowel preparation before colorectal examination.
