| ObjectiveTo explore the effect of birth dance on self-efficacy management of primiparous women in perinatal period;To evaluate the effects of birth dance on exercise self-efficacy,delivery self-efficacy,health promoting lifestyle and maternal and infant health outcomes of primiparous women,so as to provide reference for clinical promotion of self-efficacy management,change of health behaviors and mental health promotion of primiparous women.MethodsThe randomized controlled trial was used in this study.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a total of 138 primiparous parturients who received regular antenatal examination and were expecting to give birth in a tertiary maternity hospital in Hangzhou from March 2020 to December 2020 were selected.Informed consent was given and all subjects were investigated with general information questionnaire,The Pregnancy Exercise Self-efficacy Scale,The short form of ChineseChildbirth Self-efficacy Inventory and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile Ⅱ.When entering the group,the primiparous women were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table,with 69 cases in each group.The primiparous women in the control group received routine pre-natal education during pregnancy,including routine school theoretical teaching for pregnant women,nutrition and weight management during pregnancy,and delivery coping skills,etc.After labor,general labor midwifery guidance was given.The experimental group adopted birth dance intervention on the basis of routine prenatal health education.After giving birth,under the guidance of the midwife,and according to the content of birth dance,they were free to choose dance movements to carry out activities.After six weeks of intervention,the pregnancy exercise self-efficacy,childbirth self-efficacy,and health promoting lifestyle were assessed again in two groups of primiparous women,and the related outcome indicators after delivery were collected in the two groups.Then the differences in weight gain,mode of delivery,premature birth,second stage of labor time,neonatal birth weight,neonatal asphyxia,and postpartum hemorrhage between the two groups of primiparous women from the beginning of intervention to the end of delivery were compared.Results Finally,the number of people who completed the study was 130,including 66 cases in the experimental group and 64 cases in the control group.There was no significant difference in general information of primiparous women,pregnancy exercise self-efficacy,childbirth self-efficacy and health promoting lifestyle scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention,the total scores of pregnancy exercise self-efficacy and the scores of overcoming exercise disorder,emotional disorder and supportive disorder in pregnant women of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group and before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of childbirth self-efficacy and the scores of outcome expectancy dimension and childbirth efficacy expectancy dimension in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group and before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total scores of health promoting lifestyle as well as the scores of interpersonal relationship,health responsibility,exercise,stress response,and self-realization in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group and before the intervention,with statistical significance(P<0.05),but the scores of nutrition dimension showed no significant difference(P>0.05).The weight control during pregnancy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Postpartum hemorrhage in treatment group was less than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the final mode of delivery,premature birth,neonatal birth weight,neonatal asphyxia rate,and the second stage of labor extension(P>0.05).ConclusionBirth dance exercise helps primiparous women to establish lasting confidence in exercise and improve exercise self-efficacy,which is beneficial to weight management during pregnancy.The positive experience brought by the exercise can promote primiparous women to achieve physical and mental empowerment,improve childbirth self-efficacy,reduce postpartum hemorrhage,and promote maternal and infant health.It can actively propel long-term health and promote lifestyle,with high application value. |
