| Objective In this study, the level of red blood cell distribution width(RDW)in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)alone and patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)combined with hypertension and diabetes mellitus was detected to explore the relationship between RDW and the severity of coronary artery disease(coronary artery),hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 337 patients admitted to the Department of Cardiology of Shenyang Fourth People’s Hospital from October 2017 to May 2020 who were diagnosed with CHD by coronary angiography were collected.According to whether the patients had hypertension, diabetes and other traditional risk factors for CHD,the patients were divided into 98 patients with CHD alone(group A),135 patients with hypertension combined with CHD(group B),and 104 patients with hypertension and diabetes combined with CHD(group C).Each enrolled patient had coronary angiography completed during hospitalization and relevant blood biochemical tests completed immediately after hospitalization or the next morning.Gensini score(GS)was accurately calculated according to the results of coronary angiography, and the GS was divided into three groups(GS≤30 in the low-value group,30 < GS < 60 in the median group, and GS≥60 in the high-value group).SPSS23.0 software was used for statistical analysis to compare the RDW of the low value group, the middle value group, the high value group and the difference of RDW between groups, and the P<0.05 difference was statistically significant.Results1.The general clinical data were compared within and between groups A,B and C,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),which was comparable. The general clinical data mainly included age, gender,BMI,smoking history, drinking history, history of hyperlipidemia, creatinine, medication status and duration of coronary angiography.2.In group A,compared with the low-value group, the RDW value in the high-value group was significantly increased, with statistical significance(P=0.011).3.In group B,compared with the low value group, the RDW value in the high value group was significantly increased, with statistical significance(P=0.006).Compared with the median group,RDW value in the high-value group was increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.011).4.In group C,compared with the low value group, the RDW value of the median group was significantly increased(P=0.046),while the RDW value of the high value group was significantly increased(P=0.000).Compared with the median group,RDW value in the high-value group was increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.020).5.Compared with group A,RDW value of group B was significantly increased(P < 0.01),and RDW value of group C was significantly increased(P <0.01).Compared with group B,RDW value of group C was increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).Conclusions1.There was a positive correlation between RDW and the severity of coronary artery disease, and the higher the RDW level, the more serious the coronary artery disease in patients with CHD.2.The RDW of CHD patients complicated with hypertension and diabetes was significantly higher than that of CHD patients complicated with hypertension and CHD patients alone. The RDW of CHD patients with hypertension was significantly higher than that of CHD patients alone. |
