Clinical Study On Treating Mild Subclinical Hypothyroidism Of Deficiency Of Spleen Yang With Wenyang Jianpi Decoction

Objective: Evaluation efficacy and safety of Wenyang Jianpi Decoction in patients with mild subclinical hypothyroidism of spleen-yang deficiency type.Method: Sixty-four patients with mild subclinical hypothyroidism of spleen-yang deficiency type who visited the Endocrinology Clinic and Ward of of Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected.A single-blind completely randomized design was used.The patients were divided into treatment group(n = 32)and control group(n = 32)according to the random number table.They were treated with Wenyang Jianpi Decoction and placebo respectively.The study period is 12 weeks,12 weeks as a course of treatment,a course of treatment in total.Thyroid function(TSH,FT3,FT4),blood lipid level(TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C),TCM syndrome integral and untoward reactions during therapy were recorded before and after treatment,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 software to compare the differences in various results between the two groups.Results:1 Comparison of thyroid function: After treatment,TSH was significantly decreased in the treatment group(P<0.01);the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01);before and after treatment,there was no statistical difference in FT3 and FT4 between the two groups(P>0.05).2 Comparison of total integral of TCM syndrome: After treatment,the total integral of TCM syndrome in the treatment group was significantly reduced(P<0.01);compared with the control group,the treatment group was significantly better(P<0.01).3 Comparison of single integral of TCM syndrome: After treatment,except for neck enlargement,each single score in the treatment group was significantly improved(P<0.01);compared with the control group,except for neck enlargement,the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.01).4 Comparison of TCM syndromes: After treatment,the overall response rate of the treatment group was 83.33%;the overall response rate of the control group was 40.00%,with a significant difference(P<0.01).5 Comparison of comprehensive effects: After treatment,the overall response rate was 86.67% in the treatment group and 56.67% in the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.01).6 Comparison of blood lipid: After treatment,LDL-C in the treatment group decreased significantly(P<0.01);compared with the control group,LDL-C in the treatment group was significantly better(P<0.01);before and after treatment,there was no statistical difference in TC,TG and HDL-L between the two groups(P>0.05).7 Comparison of liver and kidney function: The liver and kidney function of both groups were in the normal physiological range before and after treatment.Conclusion: Wenyang Jianpi Decoction improves the clinical symptoms in patients with mild subclinical hypothyroidism of spleen-yang deficiency type,and reduces TSH level and LDL-C level,without obvious adverse reactions,which has good clinical practical value and is worth further research.
