| ObjectivesThe questionnaire on parents of Caregiver benefit finding of Children with brain injury was developed to evaluate the benefit finding level of parents of children with brain injury and explore its influencing factors.MethodsThe first part: Questionnaire on The Benefit finding to Parents of Caregivers of Children with Brain Injury was developed by referring to relevant domestic and foreign literature and relevant tools,and a draft questionnaire was formed through semi-structured interviews(13 participants).After two rounds of Delphi experts(11)consultation and a small sample(22 cases)preliminary experiment,the questionnaire draft was formed.After strict reliability and validity test,"the reliability and validity test of the test draft of the questionnaire(245 copies),the retest of the reliability of the test draft of the questionnaire(40 copies),and the verification of the structural validity of the formal questionnaire(309 cases)" was conducted to form the formal questionnaire.Project analysis,validity analysis and reliability measurement were conducted by IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0,and structural validity analysis was conducted by AMOS 22.0.The second part: The brain injury in children with their parents to take care of the sense of the current situation of investigation in children with brain injury and their parents’ general information,the brain damage in children with parents to take care of the sense of benefit in questionnaire,life satisfaction scale,general self-efficacy scale,simple coping style questionnaire,simple disease cognition questionnaire to survey tools,by confirmatory factor analysis using data(309 cases),the data by SPSS 23.0 software descriptive statistics,independent samples t test,single factor variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis,description of parents to take care of the benefit finding in children with brain damage level and its influencing factors is discussed in this paper.ResultsThe first part: The questionnaire for The Benefit finding of Parents of Children with Brain injury was formed.The content validity index of the items fluctuated between 0.83 and 1.00,the average content validity index was 0.97,and the consistency content validity index was 0.81.Three common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis to form a 22-item,3-dimensional(self-growth,health promotion,relationship development)parent-caregiver sense of benefit questionnaire for children with brain injury,which accounted for 83.2% of the variance.The total Cronbach’s coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.974,and the Cronbach’s coefficient of the three dimensions was 0.854 ～ 0.964.The total coefficient of fracture is 0.969,and the coefficient of fracture of each dimension is 0.864 ～ 0.960.The overall retest reliability is 0.955,and the retest reliability of each dimension is 0.884 ～ 0.935,respectively.The combined reliability of each factor was 0.925 ～ 0.973.The structural validity analysis using confirmative factor analysis showed that chi-square/degree of freedom(2/ DF)=1.484,root mean square residual(RMSEA)=0.040,goodness of fit index(GFI)=0.922,adjusted goodness of fit index(AGFI)= 0.901,comparative fitting index(CFI)=0.989,and value added fitting index(IFI)=0.983 were all within acceptable range.The second part: the scores of benefit finding,self-growth dimension,health promotion dimension and relationship extension dimension of the children with brain injury were(79.02±24.84),(35.51±11.38),(32.62±10.68)and(10.9±3.59)respectively.The results of univariate analysis showed that the differences of father or mother,course of disease and course of rehabilitation in the total score of benefit of parent caregivers of children with brain injury were statistically significant(P <0.05).The total scores of life satisfaction,self-efficacy,simple coping style and positive coping style were positively correlated with the total scores of disease benefit(P < 0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the five variables of rehabilitation course,self-efficacy,positive coping dimension,course of disease,and life satisfaction entered the regression equation of the benefit finding of parents and caregivers of children with brain injury.ConclusionsThe benefit finding of caregivers for children with brain injury questionnaire has good reliability and validity,which is suitable for assessing the level of benefit of caregivers for parents of children with brain injury.The benefit finding of parent caregivers of children with brain injury was above the average level,and the factors affecting the benefit finding of parent caregivers of children with brain injury included: rehabilitation course,self-efficacy,dimensions of positive coping,course of disease,and life satisfaction.Medical staff can make targeted intervention plans based on the analysis results of the influencing factors of the benefit finding,so as to improve the level of benefit of parents and caregivers of children with brain injury. |
