| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Yishen Huoxue Fang combined with mecobalamin in the treatment of bortezomib-related peripheral neuropathy(BIPN)in patients with multiple myeloma(MM);preliminary study its effect on serum nerve growth factor(NGF)level,which is BIPN Treatment provides new ideas and new methods.Methods: The clinical data of 40 patients with multiple myeloma BIPN were collected and randomly divided into two groups: control group(20 cases)and treatment group(20 cases).The control group was treated with methylcobalamin injection,and the treatment group was treated with Yishen Huoxue Formula on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was observed after 4 courses of treatment.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the serum NGF levels of the two groups of patients before and after treatment.Results: 1.Clinical efficacy: After treatment,ORR(80%)in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(60%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.FACT/GOG-Ntx neurotoxicity: After treatment,the neurotoxicity scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the neurotoxicity scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Quality of life: After treatment,The quality of life of both groups of patients improved compared with before treatment,the control group:improvement of 35%,stability 45%,decrease of 20%;treatment group:improvement of 75%,stability 20%,decrease of 5%,compared with the control group the increase was more obvious,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.NRS pain score: After treatment,NRS pain scores in both groups were lower than before treatment.The ORR(75%)of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(55%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Serum NGF level: After treatment,the serum NGF level of the two groups of patients was lower than before treatment(P<0.05),the serum NGF level of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Yishen Huoxue Fang combined with mecobalamin can improve the clinical efficacy of patients with multiple myeloma BIPN to a certain extent,reduce peripheral neurotoxicity after chemotherapy,improve the quality of life of patients,and the efficacy is better than that of mecobalamin alone;at the same time,It has a certain intervention effect on serum NGF levels,which can slow down the downward trend of serum NGF levels. |
