Objective:To observe the clinical syndrome integral and the level of treatment-related peripheral neuropathy(PN) in myeloma multiple(MM) treated by compound preparations of regulating qi and blood, and to further prove the clinical effects of treatment-related PN in MM treated by compound preparations of regulating qi and blood. Methods:The 30 patients with hospital or outpatient treatment between March 2014 and December 2014 in Jiangsu Province of TCM were all involved. According to the treatment, the patients were divided into bortezomib group, thalidomide group, and combination group(both bortezomib and immunomodulator). All were treated by compound preparations of regulating qi and blood. One therapeutic cycle proceeding was 28 days (4 weeks). Index, including the clinical syndrome integral, level of PN and overall response rate observed, and SPSS 22.0 was used for data processing. Results:The patients were divided into 3 groups:bortezomib group(12 cases), thalidomide group(13 cases), and combination group(5 cases). The average clinical syndrome integral of all patients declined from 12.77±6.08 to 6.03±2.66 before and after the treatment. Among them, the integral of bortezomib group declined from 12.92±6.44 to 6.00±2.92, the integral of thalidomide group declined from 11.69±5.64 to 5.77±2.71, and the integral of combination group declined from 15.20±6.84to 6.80±2.16.2 of 30 patients were showed downgrades of two notches,7 of one notches, and the others had no change. The effects were evaluated by clinical syndrome integral, among the 30 cases,0 patients were clinically cured,24 markedly improved, 2 non-progression and 2 non-effective with 93.33% overall response rate. The results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compound preparations of regulating qi and blood has certain effect in the treatment of treatment-related PN in MM, and it can obviously improve the clinical symptoms, can effectively control the level of PN. Which makes sure the chemotherapy of MM on the rails. The prescription has better safety, less adverse reactions, and has widely applied prospect in clinical practice.
