In recent years, with the rapid development of national economy, various infrastructure construction and systems are gradually developing. As an important part of people’s livelihood, medical insurance policy is also increasingly improving. However, according to the survey, although the strength of health insurance policy is gradually increasing, the average medical expenditure of individuals still shows an upward trend. Therefore,it is very important to find out the reasons for the increase of medical expenses,as well as the key factors affecting the medical expenses, and put forward reasonable suggestions and help for the formulation of relevant policies of medical insurance. So far, most of the analysis and prediction of medical expenditure at home and abroad take a few hospitals or a certain disease as the research object, and it is impossible to get the assessment of individual medical level and the difference between different diseases. In view of this, based on the individual medical data of residents, this paper establishes the analysis of medical treatment at the individual level, focusing on the impact of individuals on the basis of the determinants of medical expenses, this paper evaluates and prospects the problems existing in the current medical system in China.Since the data used in this paper is the grouped medical data of nine years, the data accumulation is very large and the distribution structure is complex. On the basis of fully exploratory data analysis, combined with the characteristics of the data itself, this paper uses linear regression model, additive model and mixed effect model to analyze the data gradually, and finally obtains the key variables that affect the fluctuation of medical expenses. In the diagnosis part of the model,we found that the residual had obvious classification effect, corresponding to the total medical expenses of zero, the physical examination data of chronic disease screening and the treatment data.Because the physical examination data is not very sensitive to the effect of different diseases, this paper selected the treatment data from the original data for further analysis. Finally,we get a series of key variables that affect the fluctuation of medical expenses. These variables include age, disease code, gender, personnel category, special sign, fixed number, medical category and handling time.Compared with the previous work,in addition to the above results,we also find that age, handling time and total medical expenses have obvious non-linear relationship, and there is a certain correlation between the individual multiple visit costs. These findings provide important reference information for China’s medical evaluation system.
