A Study On The Correlation Of Resilience,Hope And Quality Of Life Of Caregivers Of Critically Ill Patients

Objective:To understand the current status of caregiver resilience,hope and quality of life of critical care patients;to clarify the differences in general demographic characteristics of caregiver resilience,hope and quality of life of critical care patients;The correlation with quality of life provides a theoretical basis for improving the quality of life of caregivers of critically ill patients.Methods:Using the convenience sampling method,volunteers were selected as research subjects in the intensive care units(ICUs)of 5 hospitals in Yanbian.The general information,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),Herth Hope Index(HHI)and The Medical Outcomes study 36-Item Short-Form Health survey(SF-36)were used for investigation.All questionnaires were sorted,coded and entered,and SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used to analyze and sort the data.Inspection levela=0.05.Results:(1)The total score of resilience is 61.66±16.00(100).The caregiver’s gender,age,marital status,education,work status,relationship with the patient,family income,care experience,and medical staff are statistically significant in the psychological resilience of caregivers(p<0.05).(2)The total score of resilience is 39.58±4.10(48).The caregiver’s gender,age,marital status,education,work status,family income,care experience,medical staff are statistically significant at the level of caregivers’ hope(p<0.05).(3)The total score of resilience is 101.82±17.80(145).The caregiver’gender,age,marital status,education,work status,relationship with the patient,family income are statistical significance in the quality of life of caregivers(p<0.05).(4)The mental toughness and hope level of caregivers of ICU patients were positively correlated with the total score of quality of life and various dimensions,the correlation coefficient r=0.122±0.879,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The resilience of caregivers of critically ill patients is at a medium level,of which the caregiver is male,aged over 60,has a spouse,undergraduate/junior college degree or above,is in employment,has other relationships with patients,and the average monthly family income is more than 5,000RMB,caregivers,medical staff,have high resilience.(2)Caregivers of critically ill patients are expected to be at the upper-middle level.Among them,the caregiver is male,the group under the age of 45,has a spouse group,undergraduate/junior college and above group,in-service,and the average monthly household income is more than 5,000 RMB,caregivers with care experience and medical staff in the family want a higher level of score than other groups.(3)The quality of life of caregivers of critically ill patients is at a low level,including men,groups under the age of 45,spouses,undergraduate/junior college and above,in-service,other relationships with patients,and average family monthly income of more than 5,000RMB caregiver quality of life scores were higher than other groups.(4)The higher the level of caregiver’s mental resilience and hope,the better the quality of life.
