Objective Explore the use of mixed reality technology to perform three-dimensional reconstruction before surgery and apply it to the surgical treatment of patients with renal tumors, clarify its clinical guidance value, and provide guidance for the surgical treatment of patients with renal tumors.Materials and methods A retrospective analysis of 40 patients with T1N0M0 stage renal cancer who underwent laparoscopic partial nephrectomy admitted to the First Hospital of Yunnan Province from September 2019 to September 2020,and divided them into mixed according to whether they received mixed reality technology guidance There were 20 cases in the reality(MR)group(experimental group)and 20 cases in the nonmixed reality group(control group). All patients underwent renal enhanced CT scan before operation, and the experimental group used Materialise Mimics system + MR 3D system to establish holographic three-dimensional images and MR display based on their CT scan data before operation.Evaluate the role of mixed reality technology in the development of surgical planning,doctor-patient communication, intraoperative navigation, and teaching training. Results All surgery is successfully completed under laparoscopy,no hematuria, urinary infiltration and other severe surgical complications. There was no significant difference in the demographic characteristics of the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The operation time of the experimental group was(96.80±10.83)min,the renal warm ischemia time was(17.80±3.75)min,the intraoperative blood loss was(73.85±10.52)ml,and the operation time of the control group was(115.25±14.11)min.Warm ischemia time was(24.05±4.54)min,and intraoperative blood loss was(96.40±12.48)ml.The experimental group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, patients in the experimental group had significantly higher awareness of their own disease, understanding of surgery and complications, and satisfaction with conversation(P<0.05).Compared with doctors who use CT to explain surgical planning, doctors who use MR technology have significantly higher surgical awareness(P<0.05).Conclusions Mixed reality technology can provide a precise three-dimensional anatomical relationship between the tumor and the kidney and its adjacent structures, which can be used as a reference for the surgeon before and during the operation. It can effectively improve the efficiency of LPN,shorten the operation time and renal ischemia time, and reduce the intraoperative Bleeding volume;it can improve doctors and patients’ awareness of the condition and surgery, improve doctor-patient communication, surgery planning, and teaching training.
