Clinical Observation Of Bushen Huoxue Prescription Combined With Elcatonin Injection On The Treatment Of Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture

Objective:To observe the effectiveness and safety of Elcaltonin injection combined with Bushen Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures,we aim to provide effective treatment prescriptions for patients with OVCF and provide evidence-based science for the treatment of OVCF with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 80 patients who were diagnosed as mild acute OVCF in the outpatient and inpatient of the Trauma surgery Department,Spine Surgery Department,and joint surgery Department of Shanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected from December 2019 to December 2020.A total of 80 patients with mild OVCF were randomized 1:1 by computer to receive Elcaltonin injection and Bushen Huoxue Decoction either Elcaltonin injection for 1 month.The VAS(visual analogue scale),ODI(Oswestry disability Index),TCM symptom score,vertebral height loss rate,fracture healing rate,bone mineral density,bone turnover markers were observed and compared between the two groups before and after treatment.The effectiveness and safety of the two groups were analyzed and compared by statistical method.Results:76 effective patients were collected,38 cases in the experimental group and38 cases in the control group,The two groups were well balanced at baseline with regards to demographic and clinical data.(1)Compared with the control group,the patients VAS of the experimental group decreased more significantly,Results Significant difference between the two groups of patients,with statistical significance(P<0.05).(2)Both the treatment methods of the experimental group and the control group can significantly improve the ODI of patients,and no statistically significant difference among the two groups(P>0.05).(3)In the experimental group,patients’ syndromes of Chinese medicine were improved clearly,which is more advantageous than the control group,Difference between the two groups has statistical significance(P<0.05).(4)There was no statistical difference between the experimental group and the control group on the patients’ BMD,vertebral compression rate,and fracture healing rate(P>0.05).(5)All the patients’ TPⅠNP and β-CTX,Both the experimental group and the control group,were reduced after treating,the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).(6)There was no significant difference in patients’ serum calcium and liver and kidney function between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),and no medical adverse event occurred.Conclusion: Bushen Huoxue Decoction combined with Ecalcitonin injection is therapeutic in the treatment of mild OVCF,the treatment can Immediatly relieve pain caused by fracture.improve the quality of life of the patient,and regulate bone metabolism,and play a certain role in anti-osteogenesis.Porous effect.Compared with control group,Bushen Huoxue Decoction have osteogenesis function,can promote fracture healing。...
