| The construction of Healthy China has now risen to a national strategy. As the core component of the main strategic indicator "health literacy",health information literacy has also gradually attracted attention. The rapid development of internet has led to the continuous intelligence and complexity of the global health service system.Citizens’ access to health information, their use of health information, and their attitudes toward health information have all changed, which has created new requirements for the country’s health information literacy level.Based on the background of media socialization and healthy China construction, this paper uses the two theoretical perspectives of Wister’s model of the Influencing factors on health literacy and elaboration likelihood model, and uses the sample survey data of citizens’ media use and health information literacy in Yichang in 2020,to study the influence of media factors on health information literacy among citizens, and provide a reference for the improvement of citizens’ health information literacy level. This paper constructs a regression model of the influence on media on citizens’ health information literacy.Through descriptive statistical analysis, cross table analysis, correlation analysis and binary logistics regression analysis, this paper deeply discusses the influence on media on citizens’ health information literacy. The study found that when controlling the eight variables of gender, age, education level,ethnicity,occupation,self-assessment of economic stress,self-assessment of health and chronic disease prevalence, the five independent variables of media exposure type, media internal cognition involvement, media health information acquisition initiative, media satisfaction, and media trust significantly affect citizens’ health information literacy.Specifically, the more citizens prefer to obtain health information through TV and social media, the higher their level of health information literacy;A high level of media health information acquisition initiative and internal involvement have a positive impact on citizens’ health information literacy; The higher the satisfaction with the health information obtained from TV,the higher the trust in the health information obtained from the Internet and professional medical personnel, the higher the level of citizens’ health information literacy. At the same time, the three control variables of age, education level, and self-assessment of economic stress also have a significant impact on citizens’ health information literacy.Citizens who are young, have a high level of education, and have good self-assessed economic conditions are more likely to have adequate health information literacy. It can be seen that strengthening the construction of media channels for obtaining health information, improving citizens’ initiative in acquiring media health information, enhancing citizens’ internal cognition involvement, and enhancing citizens’ media satisfaction and trust,is beneficial to the rise of level of citizens’ health information literacy, and achieving health education and health promotion. The innovations of this research are mainly reflected in three aspects: first,a regression model of media on citizens’ health information literacy is constructed, which introduces the scale of media involvement, providing a new perspective for the research on the impact of media on health information literacy.Second, the paper uses theoretical perspectives such as Wister’s model of the Influencing factors on health literacy and elaboration likelihood model to deeply discuss the promotion effects of media exposure type, media health information acquisition initiative, internal cognition involvement, media satisfaction, and media trust on health information literacy among citizens. |
