In recent years,the family status of pets has gradually improved,and pet owners have increasingly strict requirements for pet food,not only requiring them to eat delicious and happy,but also nutritious and healthy.Kitten food is a kind of pet food specially fed to kittens,but due to the different nutritional requirements of kittens and adult cats,the imperfect digestive system of kittens,and the absorption capacity is weak.Therefore,kitten food should be different from adult cat food,but most of the pet cat food in the existing market is adult cat food,or kitten food with a formula similar to adult cat food.Therefore,researching and developing a new type of kitten food is of great significance and broad market value in the pet market.Minic-peptide nutrients are the products of protein enzymatic hydrolysis,which have the characteristics of high efficiency,integrity and low energy consumption in the process of digestion and absorption.This research firstly studies the variation law of different starch sources on the quality of kitten food,and determines an optimal formula of kitten food;using pressed puffing process to research and develope a new type of minic-peptide nutrient kitten food;and then systematically analyzed the effects of kitten growth performance and blood physiology and biochemistry by measuring kittens apparent digestibility,growth performance,biochemical indicators and hematological indicators,which provided a certain scientific basis for the development and application of minic-peptide nutrient kitten food in the future.The research contents are as follows.1.Optimal design of kitten food formula to study the change rule of different starch sources on kitten food quality.Peas,rice,sweet potato,and corn were used as starch sources respectively,and the puffing technology was used to comprehensively evaluate the bulk density,puffing degree,starch gelatinization degree and pepsin digestibility of kitten food with different starch sources.The results showed that there were significant differences in bulk density between the groups(P<0.05),and the order from small to large was rice 0.05),but the pepsin digestibility of rice was significantly higher than that of peas(P<0.05).Compared with peas,corn,and sweet potatoes,rice,as a starch source of kitten food,has the best bulk density,puffing degree,starch gelatinization degree,and pepsin digestibility,and has the highest comprehensive score.Therefore,rice can be used as a preferred high-quality starch source used in the development of kitten food.2.To study the effect of dietary supplementation of minic-peptide nutrients on the apparent digestibility of nutrients and growth performance of kittens.Feeding kittens with minic-peptide nutrient kitten food,by measuring the content of crude protein and crude fat in their feces,and calculating the total feed intake,total weight gain and feed conversion rate of kittens to study the effect of dietary supplementation of minic-peptide nutrients on apparent digestibility of nutrients and growth performance in kittens.The results showed that the apparent digestibility of crude protein was significantly different from that of the control group when supplemented with minic-peptide nutrients in the diet of kittens(P<0.05),while the difference in digestibility of crude fat was not significant(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the total feed intake and total weight gain of kittens after supplementing with minic-peptide nutrients were significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the feed conversion rate between the test group and the control group(P>0.05),but the feed conversion rate of the test group was higher than that of the control group,so adding minic-peptide nutrients to the kitten food could improve the growth performance of kittens.3.To study the effect of dietary supplementation of minic-peptide nutrients on the biochemical and hematological indexes of kittens.By collecting and sampling the blood of kittens at the beginning and end of feeding,blood biochemistry(13 items such as albumin,alkaline phosphatase and blood urea nitrogen,etc.)and hematology(16 items such as white blood cells,lymphocytes,monocytes,etc.)are determined to study and analyze the effect of minic-peptide nutrient cat food on hematological and biochemical indicators of kittens.The results showed that: in the hematology index,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Among biochemical indicators,the experimental group could significantly reduce the alkaline phosphatase ALKP content in the blood of kittens(P<0.05);the albumin content of kittens in the experimental group was significantly different from that in the control group(P<0.05).In terms of changes in serum total protein content,the growth rate of kittens in the test group was higher than that in the control group;the reduction rate of kittens in the test group(21%)was higher than that in the control group(8%)in serum urea nitrogen content.Therefore,diets supplemented with minic-peptide nutrients can improve the amino acid balance and improve the protein metabolism level of kittens. |
