| Canine Parvovirus disease（CP）is an acute infection disease caused by Canine parvovirus in susceptible animals,which is characterized by hemorrhagic gastroenteritis such as vomiting and diarrhea.This disease is characterized by hemorrhagic enteritis or nonsuppurative myocarditis,mainly manifested as vomiting,diarrhea,hematochezia,dehydration and other symptoms.Canine parvovirus（CPV）is highly contagious in dogs and can be transmitted to dogs of all ages.But to the dogs between weaned day and 90 day was infected easier and are very serious.Some puppies may present with severe myocarditis or die suddenly.Pups infected by parvovirus can be divided into enteritis and myocarditis.The typical initial symptoms of enteritis dog is high fever（more than 40℃）,depressed,no eating,vomiting,diarrhea.At the beginning of the disease,the stool became thin,with the disease process.The stool became coffee or tomato sauce color like blood and has a unique fishy smell.The dog in late stage appear sunken eyeballs,dry oral mucosa,dry nose,rough hair,poor skin elasticity,prolonged capillary refill time,significant weight loss etc.for serious dehydration.For the dogs with severe gastrointestinal hemorrhage,endotoxin poisoning and diffuse coagulation can be result in the erosion of intestinal products.It can produce the body to rapid asphyxia,syncope and death.Myocarditis type is more common in young dogs under40 days of age,its prodromal symptom is not clear.Some dogs appear shock suddenly,or heart failure,and may be to dye in a short period;some dog have sudden death after mild diarrhea.However,due to the booming development of China’s pet market,as well as the rapid growth of pet dog breeding,pet dogs,working dogs（military dogs,police dogs,guide dogs,etc.）,experimental dogs,dog parvovirus infection has gradually increased,causing huge losses to the dog breeding industry,and it has become one of the major diseases that harm the dog breeding industry in China.Canine parvovirus has become one of the most important diseases affecting the health of dogs due to its high infectivity and high mortality.The main medicine to prevent canine parvovirus disease is vaccine,high serum and monoclonal antibodies.But the preventive effect is irregularity with high serum free,vaccines and antibody.All kinds of biochemical reagents as an adjuvant therapy can produce many problems such as drug resistance.So the medicine with novel effective,safe and no side effects for canine parvovirus disease are deeded.Chinese medicine preparation has become the latest development direction.Chinese medicine preparation against canine parvovirus disease has become a new academic topic.Yang Shuhua oral liquid,according to the basic theory of Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and the principle of dialectical treatment of Weiqiyingxue,has the effect of clearing heat,dryness and dampness,cooling blood and stopping dysentery.Canine parvovirus disease is a highly contact infection caused by canine parvovirus.In recent years,there is a high incidence of canine parvovirus disease in Tengzhou city,Shandong Province.However,the epidemiological situation of canine parvovirus disease in Tengzhou City is not clear at present,so it is unknown how to effectively prevent and diagnose for canine parvovirus disease.Based on the canine parvovirus in Shandong province,the investigation of the epidemiological situation of research,animal experiment and clinical application were carried in order to understand popular characteristics of canine parvovirus disease in Shandong province,and to find out the main reasons for it,and to provides the reasonable effective prevention against popular features and method of diagnosis and treatment of canine parvovirus disease.The prevention and control effect of Yangshuhua oral liquid on canine Parvovirus disease of dog was observed in the experiment.The results as follows:Part one: Canine parvovirus epidemiological studies: An epidemiological study on canine parvovirus disease was carried out by adopting inquiry,checking medical prescription and data statistical analysis,in March 2020 to March 2022,in Tengzhou city of Shandong province.1961 dogs were checked.The results showed that canine parvovirus disease in Tengzhou city of Shandong province was mainly susceptible to dogs under one year old,especially to dogs born from 30 days to 90 days.The infection numbers of purebred dogs were higher than those of Chinese pastoral dogs.Male dogs were more susceptible than female dogs.Vaccine-immunized dogs also had fewer infections than unimmunized dogs.Canine parvovirus disease occurred all year round,but the incidence of canine parvovirus was higher from November to May of next year.Canine parvovirus disease had no obvious seasonality.The main sources of infection were sick dogs or cured dogs with poison.Canine parvovirus disease of acute hemorrhagic enteritis type occurred frequently in Tengzhou city,Shandong Province.Part two: Western medicine and Chinese traditional medicine treatment to canine parvovirus disease: Animal clinical trial to investigate the effect of Yangshuhua oral liquid to canine parvovirus disease was carried out.Seven dogs suffered from canine Parvovirus disease were divided to three groups: Chinese traditional medicine group（three dogs）,western medicine group（three dogs）and positive control group（one dog）.In addition,the negative control group（one health dog）was set up.Two test group were treated with Yangshuhau oral liquid and western drugs separately,two control groups were not treated.Clinical syndrome observation,blood and stool characteristics and microscopic observation were carried out.The results showed that: The canine parvovirus disease was controlled in Chinese traditional medicine group and western medicine group.The dogs in Chinese traditional medicine group did not appeared signs of anemia,WBC and inflammatory cells were not found in faeces by microscope observation.Intestinal mucosa injury and hemorrhage caused by canine parvovirus disease could be controlled by Yangshuhua oral liquid.Part three: Expanded clinical trial of Yangshuhua oral liquid in the treatment of canine parvovirus disease: The test was carried out to further study the efficacy of Yangshuhua oral liquid in the prevention and treatment of canine parvovirus disease.20 dogs suffered from canine parvovirus disease were treated with Yangshuhau oral liquid and Western medicine in Xinyi pet hospital.Other 20 dogs suffered from canine parvovirus disease were treated with Western medicine only.The cure rate and cure course of the two therapeutic method were counted.Results: The cure rate of 20 canine parvovirus patients treated with pure Western medicine was about 85%.The average cure rate of 20 canine parvovirus patients treated with Yangshuhua oral liquid and Western medicine was 90%.The average curative course with Yangshuhua oral liquid and Western medicine was 4.95 days,which was lower than the average curative course with Western medicine only that was 5.85 days.Conclusion:Yangshuhua oral liquid has a good adjuvant therapeutic effect on canine parvovirus disease. |
