Abstract/Summary:
Avian Infectious Laryngotracheitis(ILT)is an acute, highly contact infectious disease of chickenrespiratory system caused by Avian Infectious Laryngotracheitis virus(ILTV). And it can cause chickendeath, egg drop and serious financial losses. The disease occurres all over the world. In China, ILT issecond only to Newcastle disease (ND), chicken infectious bursal disease (IBD), infectious bronchitis(IB) and Marek’s disease (MD) for hazards of infectious diseases in poultry industry. For thetreatment of the disease, at present there was no chemical medicine. Part of the traditional Chinesemedicine formula, such as Houyanjin powder, and Houwen powder and Jihoujin powder, has a goodeffect. But in powder form mixing materials to add, it is inconvenient to use. And digestive utilizationrate of the medicine is low. To solve this problem, by clinical TCM formula, we further developed it toget better oral liquid Houyanning. In accordance with new veterinary medicine research requirements,we studied the production process, pharmacy and quality standards and clinical curative effect of thisproduct.By orthogonal test, adding water amount, extracting time, and extraction times ofthe water carrytechnology with TD-miniature extraction enrichment unit were studied.. The dry paste yield andglycyrrhizic acid content were as the evaluation index. The result shew the water carry conditions:water quantity10times, extraction2times were2.0hours and1.0hour.By the layer identification test method, the standard materials of chlorogenic acid and licoricetimes acid were as the positive control. The samples lacking honeysuckle and licorice were as thenegative control. We established the layer identification methods for chlorogenic acid and licorice timesacid of this product, and established a HPLC method including glycyrrhizic acid and Chlorogenic acid.Research methodology confirmed that the method system applicability was good, without interferenceof negative control. The linear relationship test, the accuracy test, the recovery test, the repeatabilitytests and stability test methodology met all requirements investigation. With Issa roosters of goods generation infected artificially ILTV for the experimental animals, andHouyanjin powder for drugs control, we researched the clinical curative effect of the product. The240roosters of60day age weredivided into six groups: healthy controls, model group, positive drug controlgroup and Houyanning high, medium and low dose group. In addition to the healthy controls the other5groups infected ILTV. The drug therapy groups were to0.1g per day Houyanjin powder mixingmaterials, and to0.4%,0.2%,0.1%Houyanning oral liquid drinking water. The results showed that thetotal effective rate of Houyanning oral liquid to cure ILT was90%~95%, and the cure rate was85%~92.5%. The best treatment dose was0.2%.Through this study, we established the production technology and method, set up the layeridentification methods of the chlorogenic acid and liquorice times acid, and the HPLC method standardsof glycyrrhizic acid. The clinical trials confirmed the curative effect of the product was distinct to ILT inthe performance of the warm cough.
