The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of yeast hydrolysate instead of plasma protein on growth performance and blood biochemical indexes of weaned piglets.A total 144 of crossed growing pigs(Duroc×Landrace× Yorkshire),weighted about 6kg,21 day old weaned pigs, sorted by weight and gender, were allotted to 4 treatments, with 4 replicates per treatment and 12 pigs per replicate. The experiment lasted for 28 days. The experimental groups were as follows: Control group(added 4% plasma protein),experimental group I(added 2% plasma protein + 2% yeast hydrolysate),experimental group II(added 4% yeast hydrolysate). At the end of the experiment, one piglet with similar body weight was selected for each replicate.Blood samples were collected from the vena cava on an empty stomach in the morning to separate the serum for biochemical, immune and antioxidant indexes. The results were as follows:(1)Compared with the control group, when 2% and 4% yeast hydrolysate were added to the diet to replace plasma protein, there was no significant effect on ADG,ADFI and F / g of weaned piglets(P > 0.05),4% yeast hydrolysate could reduce the diarrhea rate by 11.98%,but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05).(2)When 2% and 4% yeast hydrolysate were added to the diet to replace plasma protein, the serum biochemical indexes of weaned piglets, such as TP,ALB,GLB,BUN and Glu,had no significant effect(P > 0.05),while the AST activity in serum was significantly decreased(P < 0.05),and the serum ALP activity was significantly increased(P < 0.05).(3)Compared with the control group, when 2% and 4% yeast hydrolysate were added to the diet to replace plasma protein, the serum levels of Ig G,Ig A and IL-1β in weaned piglets were significantly increased(P < 0.05),and the level of IL-2 had a tendency to increase, but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05).(4)Compared with the control group, when 2% and 4% yeast hydrolysate were added to the diet to replace plasma protein, the activities of T-AOC,SOD,GSH-Px and CAT in serum of weaned piglets were significantly increased(P < 0.05),the content of MDA was significantly decreased(P < 0.05).
