Effects Of Adsorbent TOXO XL On Growth Performance,intestinal Function And Immune Function Of Broilers Fed With Aflatoxin B1 And T-2

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of aflatoxin B1 and T-2 on growth performance,intestinal health,immunity of broilers,and to evaluate the detoxification effect of the adsorbent TOXO XL.A total of 448 one-day-old healthy AA broilers were randomly divided into 4 groups,8 replicates for each group and 14 broilers in each replicate.The experimental period was 42 days.The results showed as followed:(1)Adding mycotoxin significantly increased the feed gain ratio(F/G)of broilers at the age of 1～21 days,the activity of Alanine aminotransferase(ALT)in serum of broiler at 21 days old,and gizzard index,duodenum index at 42 days old(P<0.05),significantly decreased the final body weight and average daily gain(ADG)at the age of 22～42 days(P<0.05),and highly significantly reduced total protein(TP)content at 42 days old of broiler(P<0.01).The addition of adsorbent significantly increased the final weight,average daily intake(ADFI)at the age of 22～42 days and Albumin(ALB)content at 42 days old(P<0.05),and highly significantly reduced the activity of Alkaline phosphatase(ALP)in serum of broiler at 21 days old(P<0.01).(2)Adding mycotoxin significantly decreased the VH in duodenum,the VH and VH/CD value in ileum at 21 days old,and the VH/CD value in duodenum at 42 days old,highly significantly increased the expression of ZO-1 m RNA in duodenum at 21 days old,and ileum at 42 days old(P<0.01).And significantly increased the expression of occludin m RNA in jejunum at 42 days old(P<0.05),significantly increased the expression of Bax,Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 in jejunum at 42 days old,the Bcl-2/Bax value was decreased significantly(P<0.05).The addition of adsorbent significantly decreased the expression of claudin in duodenum(P<0.05)and had a decreasing tendency observed for the expression of occludin m RNA in jejunum(P <0.05 <0.10)at 21 days old.Mycotoxin and adsorbent had no significant effect on intestinal permeability and endotoxin content(P>0.05).(3)Adding mycotoxin significantly increased the spleen index at 21 days old,decreased the serum Ig A concentration,CAT activity at 21 days old and bursa index at 42 days old(P<0.05),but had no significant effect on the antibody titer of Newcastle disease in broilers at 14,28 and 42 days(P>0.05).And mycotoxin significantly increased the expression of IL-4,IL-6 m RNA at 21 days old and IL-4 m RNA at 42 days old in livers(P<0.05).Addition adsorbent significantly reduced the serum Ig A concentration at 42 days old(P<0.05),and the effect of mycotoxin on the serum Ig A concentration of 42 days old broiler had the trend of interaction with the adsorbent(0.05<P<0.10).Meanwhile,the expression of IL-6 m RNA at21 days old in liver was significantly decreased(P<0.05),the expression of IL-4 m RNA at21 days old in spleen had an increasing tendency,and the expression of IL-8 m RNA at 42 days old in spleen had a decreasing tendency(0.05<P<0.10).In conclusion,the adsorbent TOXO XL can effectively alleviate the negative effects of aflatoxin B1 and T-2 on growth performance,intestinal health and immunity of broilers,so it can be added to feed as an effective detoxification agent.
